Hi Lew, all the mums and dads used to sing these in the fifties, I'm still doing it today, mostly in my head, (crap voice). Tin Pan Alley, timeless, Ed.
Another great bunch of songs. I'm a Tin Pan Alley fan myself, but I don't think I really sing any of 'em. Do you know what the termite's favorite Tin Pan Alley song was? "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Rot Myself a Ladder"!
I am of the 'in between' contingent...when Tin Pan Alley moved to the Theatre District after the Great Depression... it's focal point being the famed Brill Building on 49th St. and 7th Ave...the American music publishing house for everything Broadway to popular music and everything in between (the long-time home of Col-Gems Publishing...Goffin & King,Neil Sedaka,Neil Diamond, among others).
Your handsomely-delivered assortment is representative of the Golden Era of Tin Pan Alley.
