mix magnetic dust with silica chalking compound and use a center pole and housing. perhaps copper and steel or your foil. maybe even wrap lamp wick on it before the housing so you can dampen it with water.
Have I tried this? No but doesn't it sound energetic?
add more leds in series i want to see connected to joule thief! i am waiting to experiment once i get the copper tube i want to put alot together and see can i light at least 100 leds! thanks -charles !
Looks good man...I made little pancake style one with 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" galv flashing and copper and cardboard 8 cells total in series its only 5/8" thick, lit a bright led for 6 hrs , the cardboard dried out , so far i can just rewet the cardboard and she fires back up ...
I made a bigger version more amps battery.
I used cole instead of copper maybe you can use this too

The candle cement cell has stop working now, better use earth instead of cement. The earth cell still works now.
