Anneke van Giersbergen is probably the best after Floor. She is probably bettern than Floor in all the kinds, but Floor's voice has wider range and can cover opera stuffs.
Simone, Sabine etc are not to be compared with these singers. We are talking about completely different levels.
If I didn't know any better, I would say that this is autotuned, prerecorded, lip synced... or SOMETHING because how rare it is to see such perfect vocal execution in a live performance? But then I remember that it IS Floor Jansen, and if anyone could pull off such a feat it would be her. This is the difference between 12 years of formal music education with 6 years of professional voice education and your generic American pop top ten worthless bimbo.

My friend Mark Jansen sure knows how to find the fem leads. I have told him several times he needs to re record this older stuff with Simone. I've also asked him to get an actual male vocalist to accompany like Tuomas did for Tarja/Annette. That growl thing is so over, and defeats the purpose of having serious lyrics.You'll never guess how many fem rock/metal bands I found for a playlist series.MORE than 70, in a 4 pt series with almost 400 videos.I'm still finding more.Its crazy,but good.

I know it's mean to judge a band on the singer's looks, but, even though she is a really great singer, she has got to be at least six feet tall! She looks very masculine too. She and Tarja are both # 1 female voice... No Doubt... Floor voice is more versatile, Tarja's voice is more educated but they are both GREAT... Sharon is clearly #2... Simone Simons, Amy Lee, Liv Kristine, Cristina Scabbia and the others may share the other spots as they like....

She and Tarja are both # 1 female voice... No Doubt... Floor voice is more versatile, Tarja's voice is more educated but they are both GREAT... Sharon is clearly #2... Simone Simons, Amy Lee, Liv Kristine, Cristina Scabbia and the others may share the other spots as they like....
