you can really shorten the start up time on a pc by simply editing the programs that run on start up. and i agree with most of the previous comments this is probably a crappy dell inspiron or something compare the mb pro to a xps 15, 17, or 15z and xp will easily out-preform

This is like comparing a good computer (mac) to a shit computer (dell). This doesn't prove anything because the dell was probably like 2 years old and 400 bucks. Compare a dell xps 15z for about the same price and you will see what better.
