You are right, I do try to keep an open mind. That said, my beliefs are based on my experiences, and I think it's important for people to not accept what they are told and taught, but to question their beliefs (because if they don't know why they believe what they believe, then the beliefs are not really their own, just implanted). Other than that, I try to avoid the big questions which have never been answered.

On this one I had some imagery in my head of angels bloody and wounded trying to hold the world together in face of mankind's violence toward itself, and that as the violence escalates we are bleeding our angels dry and if we keep going there won't be the same weight to hold heaven in place and it float will farther away. So with that in mind, I kind of did the music and lyrics at once, revising as I went.
