dj Adam, what i would do FIRST is upgarde to torq 1.5.1 wich is free if you bought it new,the torq version that comes in the cd is nothing but trouble.....upgrade to the new version and go from there. Second, make sure the file your trying to load is compatible with torq. hope these helps.

I wouldn't say it's better, but it does the same job, but when you come to that point where you take your djing career professionally, upgrading to Serato is A MUST.

It's not a beginners version, they are both the same, they do the same job. It's just, every professional out there uses Serato, if you have the money, I would say start out with Serato, because that way you learn right from the beginning what the pros use, but besides from a name, the software is the only thing different. The device-box serves the same purpose. Serato is just a must-upgrade when you take your djing serious and more professionally.

Yes you can!

You can only record if you use an internal mixer (yes, that's supergay!) and I believe it's only .wav that's available. using torq so long, I realized it's not even worth it, I find it difficult to mix, if you compare a screen shot of torq and then Serato, Serato is so simple and clean. Torq = Clusterfuck.

iv just bought this loaded the driver off the net installed all the software that came on the cd. but when i connect the connective box up to the laptop it says please connect hardware even though i have. running on an acer 1gb ddr2 120gb hdd. please help.
