i total agree with you on this it is the closest you can get. the honor guard i belong to we pratice on evey little thing we need to for one, and befoe a funeral we do un throughs but it still never get us ready for what we are gonna go through. firefighters funerals are hard to do because every little detail is looked at and taken care of. but really what hits home is the hundreds that show the fellow brothers and hearing amazing grace on the bagpipes and lastly the ringing of the bell

i agree 100%. i'm a part of a firefighters memorial hoor guard here in western pa. and doing a funeral is one of the hardest thing we do. once we ring the three fives and then amazing grace starts with the bagpipes then that is when it really hits hard and we know they haved return home where they can now watch over us. it is one of the few time you will see a community come together. i alwas feel honored to pay respect to the fallen. here is to the fallen may your light shine on us alwas...

I have always wanted to be a firefighter when I was a kid and that was 25 years ago. After this movie that I saw, I went for it, and now I have made it into the fire training and now I can tell everyone, I'M a FIREFIGHTER. I'm so proud to be one and love everything so far and will love more. The best job in the world.

i total agree with you on this it is the closest you can get. the honor guard i belong to we pratice on evey little thing we need to for one, and befoe a funeral we do un throughs but it still never get us ready for what we are gonna go through. firefighters funerals are hard to do because every little detail is looked at and taken care of. but really what hits home is the hundreds that show the fellow brothers and hearing amazing grace on the bagpipes and lastly the ringing of the bell

Ive always looked up to firefighters especally after my house caught on fire and now im running with the company that was first on responce for my house fire... once you get into a voulenteer company you become one of the family and you learn what its really ike and im so happy to be serving beside some of the bravest men and women in the community... stay safe brothers and sisters

it takes a real person to be a firefighter it takes a real family to be a family sapporting a firefighter. it is a hard life but i'm glad we have them they do so much but ask for not inreturn. everyday i keep those who take the chance in my thoughts in hopes they can return back to their families. i don't know what hits harder this movie or backdraft

a firefighter's funeral is a really hard thing to do. but a very amazing thing to witness [it was exactley like this]. my uncle was a firefighter and he passed away due to a heart attack.
so i am dedicating this song to him...I LOVE AND MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH!

i agree 100%. i'm a part of a firefighters memorial hoor guard here in western pa. and doing a funeral is one of the hardest thing we do. once we ring the three fives and then amazing grace starts with the bagpipes then that is when it really hits hard and we know they haved return home where they can now watch over us. it is one of the few time you will see a community come together. i alwas feel honored to pay respect to the fallen. here is to the fallen may your light shine on us alwas...

Very sad ending to a great movie. If I had the chance I would thank the firefighters of my city personally because they are the heroes that save us from harm when a building is burning. Thank you all firefighters for making a difference in our lives.

Its also hard being put in that position were you have to decide whether to let go or carry on but its part of the job

I have always wanted to be a firefighter when I was a kid and that was 25 years ago. After this movie that I saw, I went for it, and now I have made it into the fire training and now I can tell everyone, I'M a FIREFIGHTER. I'm so proud to be one and love everything so far and will love more. The best job in the world.

all i can do watchin dis clip even watchin da movie is cry! dis is the song which me n my siblings carried my nans coffin out of the church 2! everytime i hear it i feel as numb as i did the day of her funeral! the part dat really throws me n makes me feel close 2 my nan is "these r da days were u become wat u become, theses r da streets were da storys told the truth unfolds and darkness settles in".

I cried at the end of this movie. The film allows you to grow attached to Jack, so when you see him at a point where he can't be rescued, it's saddening.

my dad and granfather were both firefighters my grandfather died in 97 from a rare blood disease and my dad retired after 30 years both were captains im very proud
