Kick-Ass was fuckin' awesome...they changed about 30% of the plot to fit the movie (as they do for most screenplays) but it was sensible and worth it. JRJr had motion art in the movie that is incredible! Go see it NOW!

Iron Man 2 was awesome!!! Funny thing is it's the only movie I've cared to go see so far this year. I'm waiting until I read the Kick-Ass graphic novel before I watch the movie. As far as comics go, quick warning: don't read Avengers 1 if you haven't already, it was not a good issue.

@tenakakhan1985 I kind of want to read the graphic novel first, too, since that's what I did with Watchmen and it helped me enormously when watching the movie. I think I'll just get the TPB and then rent it when it comes out on DVD. As for Avengers - I actually already read it, haha! Check out my Magnum videos, one of them deals with it. I wasn't crazy about it, but I thought Secret Avengers was pretty good.

Iron Man 2 is one of those sequels that's neither terrible nor better than the original. For some people that's unacceptable for a sequel and they tend to lash out at it. I think it helps to remember some of the truly bad superhero sequels we've had in years past. IM 2 is a good placeholder movie, it keeps us invested in the character while they ramp up The Avengers movie

@vatoLoco203 It WAS funny! I got all excited thinking "hosnaps he's gunna call Captain America, or use the compound element of his shield or..." But he just used it as leverage, and I LOL'd. And YES, she definitely should have had a Russian accent. Nevertheless, I for once thought Scarlett did a decent acting job.

I think Caps shield was an inside joke. Caps real shield wouldn't be damaged like that one was. And Natasha not having an accent didn't bother me. Reading some of her dialogue in the comics wouldn't make me think she was russian anyway. And people pick up the accent of the places they live.

@energon Good point! It was probably just designed to reflect Cap's shield as an inside joke - it couldn't have been his actual one, it was damaged. I agree.

@pmknight12 Yeah, sorry! I was so excited that I took pictures rather than scanned them in. And heavens no! I drew the cat, the chicken, and the squirrel; the rest I just collected from my e-travels. :)

Nice tip on the scanner. Now that my collection has been downsized a bit, it might be worth picking up. Do you know if the database it makes on your computer has fields for condition and value too?

@jamesknine175 I'm afraid I don't know. ): I don't actually own one, and I could only find one decent review on it (which didn't mention specific fields like those). That would be really convenient, though!

@ilikecomicstoo Drat. Guess I'll have to save up to check it out. Thanks for the tip though. I would have killed for one of those as a kid. I remember taking index cards and trying to keep track of 6 boxes worth of stuff. LOL. Gave up after indexing the first box. Just too much work. :X
