hey man totally off topic but what suppressor and flash hider combo did you use on the SCAR? im planning on getting a vfc but i was gonna use it for cqb so i dont want it too long, but i still want the standard length

@TPStinger17 The scar has a hand built suppresor....but the small extention tube for the barrel I think I bought that for like 10 bucks at the airsoft store...or it might have come with either the echo scar or the 36....

@WW2AirSofters one of the reasons I did the paint this way was to prove some people wrong. After the paint, and dissasembly, there was zero paint on the gearbox, in the gearbox or anywhere else inside the rifles. They both work flawless

Do you put tape anywhere else? Im thinking of painting a snowulf m24 and i am afraid it gets between the trigger and bolt action mechanism

@eriki3000 If your going to paint a bolt action taping the cylinder is important, or just remove the triggger box and then pull the bolt, reinstall the outer barrel assembly and tape the inside of the outer barrel where the bolt cylinder will ride back and forth, then paint away.

@hempfootball I would go .28's at least with the stock spring, if you boost the spring to say a FFpss2 170 spring, go with at least .20's for good long range hits.

if u spray too much paint in one area will it be sticky and is krylon fusion a good paint to use do u have to put a clear on the gun after the gun is done so it is not tacky

@xredneckairsoftx this paint dries super fast so multiple light coats is the way to go. I don't like krylon too much, the spray tips on the cans suck. You can use a "matte" clear coat to protect the paint further without adding a gloss after the paints done, but you do not need it, this paint works great.

@xFURxTFHx you could, trust me when I tell ya there's nothing difficult about this paint job. Chop up some bushes and paint away, one thing to watch out for is if the bushes collect too much paint, and they will, throw them away and use new ones. This helps avoid drips or blobs on the paint. But its seriously easy

@Mikeandwendy74 I can tell you don't know anything about drying times for paint - it's normally 12 hours for 90% of all paints on the market, dosen't matter what make/type, most of them are the same design.

12 hours is the time it takes the paint to get to a solid state, where it wont smudge or be harmed by finger prints when pressing hard on the paint, most paints need 48 hours to get to their hardest state where they won't get any harder.

This a fact - I work with professional sprayers.

@RC27589 Its super easy to do once you get it down, just watch the bush, it will hold paint and when it gets heavy, chuck it and grab another, or you will get drips on the rifles. Just hack up the neighbors bush :)
