i just kill em with my sunfury, dark lance and phaseblade. use a large flat platform near your house to round em all up in one place, then dispatch them to your liking. but auto traps are cool too.
Meh I just made a deep pit with lava so I stand on one side and all the goblins except the sorcerers fall down it. When the battle is over I cover it with grey bricks.
The trap is a good idea, but you need to thin out the lava a little bit so it doesn't burn up the loot. Extend the lava pools by about 2 blocks wide and it'll be thin enough where the loot will lay on top of the lava yet still damage enemies.
You don't want to go burning up a new pair of Rocket Boots. :)
@Wrugoin13 Thanks for the tip. I've seen some other video's with traps which take too long to build when you get the message that the goblins are approaching. This was some quick thinking which actually worked well.
