  • Lovely song

  • Her presentation of the folk song was quite impressive for somebody who is not Russian speaking. Lots of soul and expressiveness. But my only critique is her pronunciations at times are not always correct of the language, and the style is not typical of the way the song is done. Also, could have done more to make each verse of the song a little more different. But on the whole, I really enjoyed this song and the way she had so much fun with it!! Bravissima!!!

  • Is this "Those were the days" by Mary Hopkins?

  • @EugenesterCPU Hmm, read up on it and I know now it was originally a Russian folk song

  • TT_TT such a pretty voice

  • @psupccea shut up

  • She is singing an American song " Those were the days "

  • @prohelipilot1 Those Were the Days" is a song credited to Gene Raskin, who put English lyrics to the Russian song "Dorogoi dlinnoyu" ("Дорогой длинною", lit. "By the long road"), written by Boris Fomin (1900–1948) with words by the poet Konstantin Podrevskii. It deals with reminiscence upon youth and romantic idealism. The Georgian Tamara Tsereteli (1900–1968) in 1925 and Alexander Vertinsky in 1926 made what were probably the earliest recordings of the song.

  • @MrSilver812 Its a great song

  • What a beatiful voice! (:

  • Those were the days! The title of the song in English!

  • Hopa!

  • Superb.TY ivan for posting

  • @ivanzakharchenko

  • @ivanzakharchenko

  • Who remembers Mary Hopkin's popular version in the late '60s "Those Were The Days My Friends". A Korean singing a Russian song that was popular in the US??? GREAT!!!!!

  • zdorovo!!! ( est tam deystvitelno nichego net i zin plohaya)

  • That's amazing.

    Music does not have borders.

  • LE TEMPS DES FLEURS in Russian

  • Remember those were the days my friends. Russian...North Korean??? I don't think So

  • guys, it's amazing!!!

she has perfect pronunciation. i'm neither russian nor korean but i feel like i've met my close relative far away from home )))

  • @alexvkk

  • North Korea <3 CCCP!

  • Perfect!

  • weak korean is weak.

  • Excellent!!! :)

  • WoW~~~~ Perfect Russian, Those are the days my love!!!! It is Russian song that was imported by US (or Brit) Singer, Mary Hopkins. late 60's was very popular. Just wonderful to hear person of meldody at heart. There actually is a russian girl singer that also sang a S. Korean song. Actually the Russian girl improved the beauty of the song with softer and placid variation. At least that was my interpretation which could be construed differently. Thanks, nice clip.

    /watch?v=y2E5Uz9p17Q

  • joha2 <3!!!

  • Wow

  • wow. she really resemble my cousin lives in Busan South Korea.

  • 3.14zdetz

  • Amazing!!! :) Korea, go, go, go! She is wonderful!

  • I have heard this song in many languages and love when lyrics and songs go across the borders. Just proves again, we are all humans in every way. Our wishes, dreams, and sorrows are same. Damn politicians on this earth has spoiled everything.

  • poor girl fcking north korea must free those beautiful and talented people !

  • @BAHTYS

  • @BAHTYS

  • their is an English version of this song - THOSE WERE THE DAYS)

  • She's kinda cute too...

  • Is it just me or she really doesnt have Korean accent while singing in russian slavic? Nice.

  • She sings in a good Russian with a very light accent! Very nice.

  • what is the title of this song ?

  • Perfect Russian, Once there was a Tavern was sung by Mary hopkins in 60's. Quite intellectual and beautiful..

  • Actually, a Russian gypsy ('Roma') song, now considered 'russian'. The Beatles recorded it back in the late '60's.

  • Long live to south korea. USA go to hell!!!

  • @h5t6ca I was referring to the fact of the existence of the clone of this song 'Those Were the Days.' I like this proper Russian rendition and Korea's respect for indigenous cultures including its' own. The white however has consumed everything it can. It has resorted in it's recent efforts through RnB/Hip-hop/Rap culture to 'devolve' back to Africa; I don't mean this in a racial context, but musically, not much can be said of there except for complex drum patterns.

  • very good performance,bravo

  • bravo bravo signora, you are a really very good interpret with a touch for music....

Thanks for posting! 5 stars for singer! Singing Russian folk song almost without accent!

  • It seems that this song is Irish if my memry serves me well

    "Tthose were the days"

A hit in the late 60's

  • @h5t6ca Westerners have ran out of Eastern songs to steal, so now they're reverting to the primal talents of the common negro in producing meaningless beats. Such will never become of Korea, hopefully.

  • @Invilidity This is an original russina song. But are you a racisst. Do you have somehting against people from the African continent living somewhere else?

  • Are you sure she's North Korean? There are also people in Russia who look absolutely Korean but their not. Maybe she's an exchange student in North Korea? I'm just asking because my mother, a Ukrainian, said she doesn't have any accent.

    :)

  • @Crzeimasha She have an accent!!!!!!!! She sing wrong text and words are interchanged, by the way...

Im korean, i was born in USSR and now I live in Russia.

We have more than 500 000 koreans in Russia. They are not connected with any of Koreas. We live in Russia because our land from Ko-Cho-Sson was taken by Russian Empire. And now this land is Russian.

    WHATEVER - NICE SINGING!

  • @MrMale1982

there are also sakhalin koreans. in general korean history in FSU (sakhalin, vladivostok, kazakhstan and uzbekistan) is very interesting. they went through a lot under stalin's deportation (but then again those times were harsh on everyone)

  • Is she the daughter of a General? She looks well-fed..while most performers look malnourished. .

  • Wow! Beautiful!

  • She does not look like a starving North Korean.

She is pretty, lively, healthy and full of joy.

Is North Korean starvation an American propaganda?

  • @johnkim100530

There are lots of starving people in many countries. But it doesn't mean that all the people is starving.

  • johnkim100530<- are you kidding? american propaganda? so, how do you explain about twenty-thousands north korean defectors in south korea?

  • @hkcjlm

how about thousands Romanian and Bulgarian gypsies who recently deported from France. They was also defectors or refugees or smth else?

Fish is looking for where the deeper, people are looking for where to live better

  • @johnkim100530 From what I've seen, there are some lucky people in North Korea used for things like tour guiding, performing, etc. who don't have it so bad. Most of the population isn't so lucky.

  • @johnkim100530

Are you stupid? Will the North Korean gov't show you a person who is starving to death and tell her to perform for you? Use your brain, dumbass!

  • @johnkim100530 3000 North Koreans Defect to south Korean every year. You wanna know how meny people have defected to North Korean?? Just one.

  • @AndyMac1369 Actually, that's not true, but at least your point gets across.

  • @johnkim100530 I don't think that it would be propaganda and there is truth to it. But in front of tourists or foreigners they are going to be represented by those who are healty and good looking.

  • @johnkim100530

Yes, it's American propaganda, same as bears on the streets of Russia. Starvation is common in capitalist countries, such as India, Brazil etc. etc. But in USA was also great starvation in 1930's.

  • @Motaro76

well said. n.korea is heaven on earth compared to capitalist countries like in africa or india/bangladesh

  • @the0th

When the whole world will consume so much as USA, we'd need 5 planets such as Earth. But we have only one. So consume have to be reduced till DPRK level. Only then we'll tightly fit in one poor Earth.

Wealth of "golden billion" is based on poverty of 3-rd world. One luxury villa - 100 favelas. One luxury car - 100 children starved in 3rd world. DPRK doesn't exploit any country.

  • Amazing voice.

  • Oi aaaegu ammmuseid!

  • More of the fuckin' Korean Stalinists( korean Marx-Leninsts) r bein' expected to be starved 2 death, buds~~, Holy cow shit, mannnnnn~~~~

  • This Stalinist N.Korean gal b lucky gal; How could she survive from severe starvation in the sole Stalinist state on Earth, uhhh??? 2 million N.Koreans were starved 2 death, mann~~~

  • woah, she's truly amazing. :o you can barely notice the accent.. sposibo :)

  • delícia. hot.

  • final da musica éh igual as musicas do programa do SILVIO SANTOS NOA anos 80

  • beautiful song... now she has a fan in brazil 8 )

  • nice perforamce thought this is not a gypsy song.

  • Please, explain...

  • @ivanzakharchenko It just a famous Russian folk song it has no connection to Russian gypsy

  • As far as I know, it's not a Russian folk song by melody and by its lyrics. Many gypsy songs so deeply entered the Russian culture in the past that it was considered Russian.

  • @ivanzakharchenko non, the original song is from Dalida.. "Le temps du fleurs"

  • cant really complain, she isnt singing with an accent so maybe she's like a Korean Russian, Which i tend to refer to them as "chinese russians" no offense.

  • No, she's a Korean Korean :)

  • Another wonderful performance by a North Korean. Where are the South Koreans????????????????

The title says she is not a professional, but she performs better that any western professional. MisterErico

  • Just Awesome!

    Thanks for interesting videos,Ivan)

  • No worries!

  • Spasiba.

    Really awesome.

It`s hard for Korean one to speak Russian. But she does it well=)

  • how's her russian?

  • Absolutely perfect!

  • north korea has taken many influences from russia, china, japan and even from south korea. we're so much mixed each others these days.. oh, perhaps all the time.! just some people hate it and like us to hate our neighbours each others. ..who think of earning from war-business.

  • WOW!! She's incredible

  • this is beautiful, and so is she, and her country :D

  • Russian masters?

Last time I checked, its the South Koreans and the Japanese that have American bases on their soil..

Russia and China have long since left North Korea..

I think masters applies to these Americans... that you so love..

  • she just happens to like the Russian culture more then that crap her Korean couzins to the south copied from the Americans..

    thats not even culture

  • what is the name of the song?

  • Sorry to be late. The song's name is "The Long Road". But the oldies' American remake, based on this song, was called "Those were the days".
