3x3" is a huge area of unknown to be drilling through. I would be interested if it somehow could determine magnetic density. At this point I would be more comfortable with a flex bit. Are there any plans to improve the wand? Audio coming from a Cable/Telephone toner wand will increase or decrease depending on the distance from the tone. This would be a great feature for the magnespot.
@WarrenPace Interesting question. I played with it on my office table and it did still detect it on the other side. I'm concerned if it was a very dense piece of wood it would or would not work.

Silly question but if you know where you want it to go on the one side of the wall why not drill through with a small hole?
