  • Woow.... thanks Terry ..... for this informative & easy way to create custom ringtone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow thanks soo much nice and easy

  • great vid thanks mate !

  • With windows it dosnt let you change it to m4r and it dosnt say m4a, it be nice if you had been more speciefic on that part

  • @TheShadowCorpse This is a quick fix! Just open the start icon, go to "computer." At the top left there is a little drop-down tab that says 'organize'. Click it and click 'folder and search options.' Next, go to the 'view' tab and then there will be a list with checkboxes. Under the 'hidden files and folders' section there is a box that says "hide extensions for known file types." Uncheck that, click apply, and you're all set! now when you look at the ringtone, you can change it to .m4r

  • it dosent say .m4a when i go to rename it.... ( on windows )

  • @tripovame Same for me its really confusing... :(

  • thank you very much!

  • Limewire..

  • Thank you so much :)

  • For iTunes 9.X, there doesn't appear to be a "convert to AAC" option. This can be sidestepped using the free program Audacity by Sourceforge. Load original song in Audacity, crop to the times you want, then use File/Export As and save as M4A/AAC. (Or, alternately, you can set the start-stop times in iTunes, convert to mp3, then load that mp3 in Audacity and Export As, but you can crop much more precisely in Audacity.) Rename as M4R. Follow all other steps as in this video and it will work. :D

  • Thanks so much!
