Wow, I think in all the years I watched this great music program Spencer is the only non-German artist they had on who could speak German,. VERY cool! Good on ya, Spencer(and he was cute as a squirrel's nuts)! :)
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll.
Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll.
In honor of Spencer Davis' birthday, the first song I heard by The Spencer Davis Group,(1966) "Somebody Help Me" and the bluesy "Sittin and Thinkin", with Spencer (instead of Stevie) singing lead. These two songs are not as well known as" I'm A Man" &" Keep On Runnin". They were one of the most outstanding bands of the 60's.
Nostalga at it's best one of my fave bands as a teenager,they were all about style and the music to dance to at the time,Stevie still looks great today. Rab T
Mal was bigger than life & twice as wild & fun. I'm his niece in the US & it's great to finally get to see some of what he was doing in Germany during his prime. Thanks for posting this! ~ Julie
Cool. Our old radio-DJ M A L Sondock! He was the host of the on-air-personalityshow called "Mal Sondock's Hitparade" in the 1980's and with the show called "Discothek im WDR" in the 60's and 70's. This is his very short TV-Gig called Beat Beat Beat in the 1960's. Very good show. Thanks for posting it.
More about Mal: mal-sondock-fanpage, wiki or radio-unna. RIP
@Duenderelojero Yes during the times of the Soviet Union when they oppressed their own people and tried to keep them from knowing what was going on in the outside world...they often had hip bands from the UK and all over Europe to play there....lol some people

At 0:52 the MC inserts "Andrea...and Sherry for 'Green Onions'" into his blitzy intro. Is this German humor?
BobBerkeley 1 year ago
@BobBerkeley
Not sure if anybody responded. The MC was mentioning Don and Cherry who played ''Green Onions'' just prior to this clip.
