I just came back from a trip in the Middle East, I found Amman to be SO CROWDED, DIRTY AND UGLY! There are no parks in it, and there's almost no green or trees in the streets... No wonder this video mostly talking about food and other areas outside and far from Amman, like the Dead Sea and Petra... The good things about Amman are: people there are very nice and friendly, and the food is good, but apart from that, it's a very unattractive city.

There really isn't anything in Jordan that can't be found elsewhere. Amman is truly boring. Go to Jordan if you have a strong interest in Petra or Jerash, the historical sites. If not, you're just wasting time. Furthermore, surrounding countries like Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, and Egypt have historical sites of greater interest. There is also a moral problem. Common Jordanians are kept away and segregated from tourists. You'll only see the rich Jordanians who control and exploit the country.

I just came back from a business trip in Israel and Jordan, I traveled in both Amman and Tel Aviv and enjoyed both very much, although i found Amman very dirty and not so pretty, it had a really exciting and authentic middle-eastern feel to it. the people there are friendly and the food is good too!

Tel Aviv is a beautiful green city and clean in comparison, they have many green parks, and they seem to be very environmentally friendly and in love with their city, which i liked a lot!

Great insight, but this video is about Amman, not Tel Aviv. Amman has been around as a city for much longer so that is probably why you feel its "dirty". Maybe next time you can just stick to Israel, since its cleaner for you.

Don't get so defensive... I liked Amman a lot, but it's hard not to make comparisons with other cities in the middle east as i just returned from there last week.

Amman doesn't have a "feeling" of a dirty city, it's just dirty! being an older city has nothing to do with it. Have you been to Jerusalem? Jerusalem is a much older city than Amman, and the Israelis still managed to make it green and clean... It's all about being environmentally friendly, and i think Jordan should be too.

Amman is twice the size of Jerusalem. I doubt you visited all the areas in Amman. Some are green, some arent. Jordan is a very poor country, and with the resources it has, it has done pretty damn good.

very nice video, although i have lived here for 7 months and cant afford to eat ...this place is so expensive. it has a beauty about it i agree ....people are very hard to get to know ...it is not my favourite city ......i am trying to love it ....but its just not happening ....i find the place expensive , dull and hard work

maybe a decent transport system would help....and yes petra is amazing ...well worth the visit , wadi rum and the dead sea ...fab

Visit Aqaba if you go to Jordan...the beaches there (southside) are so clean you can see many pretty and colorful fish swimming right in front of you. I got relatives living in Amman. I try to go every 2 years. A nice restaurant in Amman is Bellagio's, right next to Mecca Mall. Nice food, atmosphere, many flavors for Irgeela (Hookah), dining on rooftop so you can see all Amman city lights at twilight and night while you eat.
