  • DONT MAKE NO DIFFERENCE THAT YOUR A HOOOOOO

  • Led Zeppelin didn't write dazed and confused at all,and i don't see that shit gettin' banned from circulation, and furthermore sublime is a fusion of several genres, including hip-hop, so whats wrong with a little sampling?

  • @Lylianeth nothing, but when you sample the wrong artist without their permission they (or more likely their money grabbing label) will get their panties all in a twist so they can get their pay day at the expense of the smaller guy

  • only banned because of use of jimmy page solo, total bullshit! shouldnt have been ever banned!!

  • @NathanRHimself Was it actually banned? I thought it was just cut from the skunk version of this record to make the other version. It didn't make sense though, this song is so sick.

  • This was "the best"!

  • The one bum thing about this version is that I miss the "Some jealous punk..." part of the remix. Although, I suppose Miguel's rap makes up for it.

  • I regret losing this version of 40 OZ that had this on it... thanks for posting... I regret even more losing the promo my sister gave after seeing them in Winter of 92... that had half of 40oz and half of robbin with some other demo stuff. it had the tabasco label but said sublime. they played with Offspring and No Doubt before any of those bands really broke.... sublime didnt break til like three years later... remember a friend showing me the self-titled album had just come out and brad died.

  • @professormacdeezy Dude, you had the original 40 oz. AND 13 fl. oz. but lost both of them? "Aw, that's hard."

  • @LovePeaceNFreedom Yeah but you can just torrent both if it's the music you were missing. If not, that really sucks.

  • @RodmanShah Yeah, but the reason that I said it sucked was because he claimed to have the original discs, which most devoted fans would go to great lengths to own.

  • @professormacdeezy they played with Offspring?? thats rad!

  • @professormacdeezy Yeah it's fucked up, he died right before they released it. They considered not even releasing it too.

  • How IRONIC

  • I'm not sure if I've heard the remix. Link?

  • The remix doesn't really have the 40 oz vibe to it

  • Oh okay. And Led Zeppelin never "stole" rhythms or lyrics from other bands?...That's a bit annoying

  • @HSJimmyStweight That was only Whole Lotta Love. It wasn't LZ themselves, it was the recording company

  • @usernamebada42 I know it's kinda bitchy not to support my own claim, but if you did some deeper research you'd find that Zeppelin stole a countless amount of riffs/lyrics, etc. from old blues musicians (I only know this because my brother is a jazz guitarist attending college right now) If I feel like it at some time, I'll try to find some examples and get back to you, if you think it's worth your time...

  • @usernamebada42 Here, I've actually got some examples; On Zeppelin's "When The Levee Breaks" (1971), they stole content from Kansas Joe McCoy, who made the original music in the late twenties...On their self-titled (I guess...Personally listen to them only time to time) there was stolen content from some of Bert Jansch's stuff (1966)...The list goes on. I got my info from another YouTube vid titled "Led Zeppelin Examples of Plagiarism".

  • @HSJimmyStweight led zeppelin were a blues band. ALL blues "steals" from the blues, because that's all it is. recycled emotion - expanding on an idea is very different from sampling music produced from someone else's instrument. just saying.

  • @usernamebada42 Also, I'm not calling Z assholes, I'm just saying that Sublime shouldn't be limited by the hypocritical reps of Zeppelin, whether that be them provoking the limitations (I doubt it is) or the record company...I really love Sublime, and since they're not around any more, I ESPECIALLY cherish any recordings that they made. I feel it's kinda unfair for them to take this version of "Get Out" off of what it was going to be on...

  • @HSJimmyStweight plaigurism wasn't what it was back then like it is now or even in the 90's.

  • hold me and don't let go...

  • anyone else ever notice the stairway to heaven solo on smoke two joints?

  • They change the words its about bud being in a Rehab

place...come on you call your selfs sublime fans!?

  • @bunnindatpiff420 schoolhouse rock something

  • its sad how bad i relate to this fucking song... or use too

  • My place is not a home. Try to be house less, instead of homeless. Tweeker pads are a nightmare, but its better than living on the streets with the clothes on my back. Life sucks, get on with it.

  • @bradleyjames83 wat about long beach?

  • @risingpauler he meant an actual house to call their own..

  • the song is actually sampled from betty wrights clean up women so george michael must have ripped her off

  • The bass line was sampled from James Brown but this song was sampled straight from George Michael's Waiting for the Day.

  • Comment removed

  • anyone know what the song is at about 2:24 "I got a bone to pick"

  • @BoneDog1215 think its krs 1

  • 2:26 who's that

  • My dad has like 3 of these banned 40 oz. CDS

  • @buffgorilla thats fucking awesome

  • @buffgorilla spread that shit

  • wow the lemon song bass line really kicks ass in this

  • Through the years that they were touring they never had a place to call their home. They would always stay at a fans house. Brad and bud never really had a place to call home. They would stay in flop houses all the time. Think this song is just refering to the fact that they wanted a place that they could call their own

  • @bradleyjames83 This song is actually about how Bradley let bud stay at his house when bud was all strung out on dope and booze (worse than bradley at the time)

  • @bradleyjames83 That's why they have crucial thanks.

  • i like this version better with all the dubs in it.

  • Damn, I used to own this CD that had this song on it until I lent it to someone and never saw it again....DAMMIT! I am a moron.....

  • this is get out

  • Yeeeaaaaa

  • Thank you thank you thank you for posting this. My cd (remember those?) was stolen a Looooong time ago, and I have missed this song in particular so much!

  • 3 people have never needed a place to stay. so tell them GET OUT

  • @burningcomrade 3 people dont like this song so they should GET OUT!

  • The Second Hand Smoke version is great too! Sublime forever <3 :)

  • @dfk94 fucking love the minutemen

  • In this song they use the guitar intro from Lemon song and the snare intro from Moby dick.

  • THE LEMON SONG BASSLINE IS FREAKIN AWESOME !

  • groovy, they use the drum beat of it's expected i'm gone by the minutemen, thats the video that sent me here, you know i've always been meaning to get into sublime but never got round to it, i might start now haha

  • by far one of their best songs. no one knows this version it seems like. was it really originally about bud?

  • @clcpjmll32 i do believe bud was staying in brads house.

  • @drunkenstick thank you. cool that makes me like this song more now cause that shit's hilarious.

  • On one of the Sublime bootlegs, there's an interview and it was originally about Bud. I think it had something to do with Bud being in a Jesus-Rehab place.

  • I'm a long time listener of sublime and I have all their songs, (btw this song is the shit) and I was wondering if there are any other original songs that can't be found on iTunes like this one.

If anyone can help that would be great..

  • had this album in the 90's lost it and now i bought it again....cool!

  • Haha this song was originally about Bud!!

  • go sox

  • Dopest version ever.

  • WOW iI AM SERIOUSLY TRIPPING RIGHT NOW!!! I USED THIS EXACT SAME LED SAMPLE IN A BEAT THAT I MDE AND JUST HEARD THIS VERSION RIGHT NOW>> I SWEAR IBRADLEY IS WATCHING OVER ME SOMETIMES>> RIP BRAD. I SERIOUSLY CANNOT BELEAVE THIS RIGHT NOW> HIT ME UP IF YOU WANT TO HEAR MY BEAT THAT I MADE.... I AM IN TOTAL SHOCK RIGHT NOW. IT SOUNDS SO EFFING GOOD WITH BRAD VOCALS IN THE BACKGROUND... FUCK I NEED TO TAKE IT OFF BEFORE JIM PAGE GET TO ME AND SUES MY ASS...

  • @AlexanderSKrause your a homo

  • @AlexanderSKrause dude same exact thing happened to me when i heard kanye west's POWER with the king crimson sample. so i know how you feel

  • History lesson by the minuitmen is the other sample used

  • Bad ass shit

  • def one of their best songs!

  • Definitely sublime at their greatest, fuck all of their overplayed shit like daterape

  • i bought the original and someone stole it and could never find it again there is actually 3 songs that were on it that you can't find now

  • fuckin zeppelin! i love em of course but they ruin everything with their copy right bitching. and they never let any body use their music

  • I hear the Moby Dick sample, but I don't hear The Lemon Song ones. Can someone point out where it is in the song?

  • all i know is i have never heard this song before and which ever it is i LOVE IT

  • all i know is i have never heard this song before and which ever it is i love it

  • The best band of my generation. No bullshit!!!!!!

  • @MrCHEECHERS

    yeah dude !!!

    REALLY!!!!!!!!

  • this is such a good song, i cant believe they didnt just take out the zeppelin

  • There is also some rap that is done by the Ghetto Boys (ie - I got a bone to pick)

  • i fucking love the beat in the beginning!

  • i heard it on pandora

  • FUCK YES! ive been loking for this shit.

  • where is the led zeppelin song sampled

  • sick as fuuuuccck

  • funny that they pull this because of Led Zeppelin samples yet the main drum beat is the same one from "When It's Expected I'm Gone" by The Minutemen

  • Man, Marshall could flow. I wish he had been able to rap on more Sublime tracks.

  • Man, with Sublime you can always see the inspiration for their music with all these alternative versions!

  • No place to stay, stoopid bitches, dope, people screamin get out, sounds like my childhood and adolences feels like home even when there ain't one to go to

  • Though this track is one of my favorite songs, I always wondered what it would have been like if the opening was Eric Wilson's heroine induced voicemail to Bradley about being converted to christianity. I laugh every time I watch that interview... You are gone from us now, but your music lives on, my friend.

  • YES YES YES! I have been searching for this version since my CD was destroyed years ago! Love the original version so much better than the "copyright" acceptable version!

  • sooo groovy-this was the song that really sold me while my roomate who turned me on to them was diggin the scarlet version. i had to buy the cd in isle vista -i couldnt find it in an la store or all of sd..unfortuneately my cd was stolen .. havent heard this in a long time ..:the rap ending is unreal

  • It would have been key if they left out the zeppelin samples and just added eric's bass line to the other mix of the song.

  • best bass line ever...There were a few mixes of everything floating round.. common occurrence with grass roots musak..

  • Wow this song is just awesome, I love it so much. The best version of this song!

  • I have this on CD and Cassette....My bro bought it in 1992 at a back yard party...pretty amazing to think how big they got....

  • that didnt sound anything like zeppelin although the very beginning had the lemon song beat and i could kinda hear moby dick in the drums but that beat has been used in many songs

  • Eric's bass line sounds so good on this version. I am so glad that I still have my original Skunk records release of this CD. Thank You, Bradley. I am still a little pissed that you made me pay for it (hey, it's how you got paid) but God rest your sweet guitar slanging soul, amigo.

  • yep i have an og copy of this from 1992 . . the copie right infringment at the end of the song the bass line is cut from led zepplin "the lemmon song" thus forcing the remix as most ppl have the other version .i was about to put my file on youtube but i think sk8eddie81 did good here . yes its true ppl this is the original version . no joke its one cut from the lemon song by led zepplin that got this one banned because of legal issues ... sry i dont spell the best but i speak truth

  • So I had the 40 oz. with this version on it and yes (for all of the people that don't believe it) this is the "real" version that was on the first release of 40 and was removed by the major record label when it was released by MCA (I think). It is by far the best version. Unfortunately it was in my CD deck that got ripped off by some d-bags that broke into my truck way back in 1996. The idiots probably didnt even know they had gold. Anyway, a girl that grew up in the LBC gave it to me.

  • wow...i been a sublime fan since 95 and I didnt know about this illegal use thing...we got any more info on that?

  • Sublime used tons of samples. From many many different artists. I think the band was more concerned with making music, then getting rights to use some of the samples they had. That's all I got on it.

    "Lemme bust a freestyle den"

    "Fuck joo mahng!!"

Hahaha those small parts in there, the last from scarface, hilarious. That outro beat is straight nasty too. Damn melt my ears while you're at it Sublime.

  • So, let the lovin' take ahold over me, let the lovin' take ahold over me, follow me Long Beach posse cuz all I see is your fussin' and fightin' 1992 so let's all start unitin' put your heads together be the best you can be let this jam take us to 1993, just stay positive the love will come back to me.

    He was brilliant

  • sounds alot like the song "Clean up woman" by betty wright..

  • u know i be jumpin on walls n kicking ceilings

  • the bass in this version is sooooo sick

  • what led zeppelin samples did they use?

  • They sampled 2 Led songs- Moby Dick and The Lemon Song.

  • @rewindaminute Right on bro! lol. another zep/sublime fan out there!

  • @JaysoutFishin That's funny, my absolute two favorite bands are Sublime and Led Zeppelin.

  • @TJSh0w MINE TOO!!! lol

  • @TJSh0w What's funnier is that Led Zeppelin ripped off soooo many blues songs that always made it to the final record. I love both as well, but its lame that it was forced to be removed.

  • @TJSh0w couldn't agree more

  • @rewindaminute which is the moby dick sample?

  • @TopTuneMelody the drum beat between the first and second verses, is the begining of moby dick.....

  • @TopTuneMelody Yeah, it's the snare fill at 1:13.

  • @rewindaminute They sampled music from tons of bands, but Bradley put his brilliant unique unique twist on it.

  • @rewindaminute and also clean up woman

  • can someone send me a link to download this ? :D

  • That Girl is Dead To Me Now..When I say ...GET OUT!

  • Comment removed

  • hahahhaha i used to say EVERY FUCKIN TIME i heard this song that zeppelin is in the beginning. funny shit

  • @thekush88 same her!

  • best version

  • this isn't it either!! this is from the stupid greatest hits CD. @ 1:14 there's supposed to be a sample that says

"they're driving me fuckin' nuts over here, i gotta get rid of these fruitcakes"

anyone know where i can find THE REAL version?

  • this is THE REAL version. this is the first version of Get Out that was released, back on the first two pressings of the 40 oz to freedom in 91 or 92. This version is straight from a 2nd press cd.

The one youre talking about with the Jerky Boys sample is the 1997 one from Second Hand Smoke.

  • yeah buy the cd

  • the "real" version is on

    'sublime second-hand smoke"

  • nah that version u want is the second version after this one got banned

  • i bought this CD before it even had the Parental Advisory sticker. i know what songs are on that CD. and this version of Get Out isn't it. call me wrong, call me stupid but i had the original CD and listened to it hundreds of times. it had illegal samples on Get Out!, Ebin, and then there was the "Rawhide" cover at the end of date-rape. the remix from second-hand smoke uses a different sample in the second half of the song

  • I also have the CD with no PA, and I have it memorized. This track is the second one on it. I uploaded this track directly from the disk. There is no question that this song is on the original 40 oz To Freedom, along with the alternate versions of Gonna Die, Let's Go Get Stoned, and Rawhide.

I actually know a few versions of this CD without the PA, but those were international releases and were very similar to the MCA release except for some bonus tracks at the end and no Thanx Dub.

  • @oldskoolchomp do you still have the original copy?

  • @oldskoolchomp this is the og. no doubt about it. recheck your facts, you kook!

  • amazing song, anybody know what that song is sampled at about 2:20 with the girl singing?

  • its actually from a school house rock song called "4 legged zoo", you can hear it here

    watch?v=Vx5S69CaWoE

  • thanks man appreciate it

  • easily the best version of 'get out' with lemon song samples

  • Comment removed

  • its not on second hand smoke. the REMIX is on second hand smoke. this is the original one that was BANNED from commercial sale for containing samples from led zeppelin and school house rock.

it might be on the One In a Million bootleg. but it is BANNED and ILLEGAL TO SELL because of the samples, and it is NOT on second hand smoke.

  • ahh...i see

  • DUDE...THANKS YOU FOR CLEARING ALL THIS UP FOR THE PEOPLE THAT DONT KNOW OR HAVE A CLUE.......ERIC CALLS THIS 32oz to freedom because MCA took it off after they signed sublime from skunk.

  • hey at what at exactly what part does is play the led zeppelin sample

  • starts at 0:05

  • which song is it?

  • The Lemon Song from Led Zeppelin II

  • and the drum roll that repeats is Moby Dick from the same album

  • yeah but its the real one that mca cut off the original 40z cd.

  • 30 to 35

  • its a sample- check this out
