Yeah, that part was pretty sad...I came close to crying, but the only time I actually did cry was at the very end, when he starts hallucinating about returning home to his family as he's dying, and then once he actually is dead, and everyone's carrying his body out of the Colosseum. The mark of a great movie is when you watch it over and over and it makes you cry each and every time, lol.

Now, I could probably name at least one movie that I had something like that reaction after watching it, but I got more POed than anything. The Fountain is one of them--I nearly did cry after having wasted my time watching what seemed like a nonsensical film....And I still don't get it. The only plus was that it was beautifully made.
