@SamuraiLloyd True, could've also been inspired by mythos from next door- Wood is an "element" in China's lore (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth- western alchemy has Air instead of Metal and Wood)

@SamuraiLloyd I think he's themed for the elements, like Metal Man, Air Man, Heat Man and Bubble Man. Some cultures use Wood and Metal in place of Earth.
