  • Normally at that point the trains are either increasing or decreasing ythe speed due to the station, so the speed would varie somewhat. Also, some of the trains that don't stop at the station may need to slow down their because of other traffic in the area.

  • Nah. Not 79. Allthough close to it. I'd Say Probably 65 -70 for both.

  • Amtrak indeed runs at 79 on this stretch of track. If they are running slower than that, it is because of a restricting signal or a slow order, in either case, the trains would be going far slower... as in 15-45 mph depending on what the problem is. Otherwise.. they run at 79.
