Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi 4th and 5th Gear

Few things about this video, the max torque in these engines are around the 2000rpm mark and its going to be slower if your red lining it in 4th and 5th because the car can only do 101 so its going to be slow getting there.

As mentioned before they arent ment as performance cars but with any diesel if you know where the torque is in the rev range overtaking can be alot of fun

thing is fellas, you get a 1.4 diesel fiesta to be cheap to run and not to be amazing in performance. If you want performance, get a proper hot hatch and have higher running costs. I recently bought a 207hp vw scirocco, only 31mpg but quick as hell

I posted a bit ago i got the 1.6 TDCI fiesta, i've just had it remapped to 120brake and 215nm torque.. i'll get some videos up asap!! Its just stupidly quick..

I've got a 2008 Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi and it's much much quicker than this suggests.... also at 70mph (about 125kmph?) its only doing 2400rpm.. this car is doing 3000 =/

@adamc260 You're wrong my friend, I also got a fiesta 1.4 Tdci and at aprox. 130 km/h it has almost 3000 rpm, so the figure is right. I don't know how old is the car in question, but is well known that in time the engine looses HP due to engine "fatigue"(loss of compression etc), so this could be a reason for being a little slower.

yer the 1.4 has 68bhp and the 1.6 has 90bhp so yer it should be a lot faster 0-60 comes in 11 secs on the 1.6 so not bad :)

well i've had the Fiesta 1.6 sportvan for 2 days now...it deff is faster :P infact i've stepped down from a jeep to it and i was wary but dear god... its mental. Its insanely quick and no car should be that fun to drive :P Feels like an st varient almost!

Funny, Unless you rebored the whole engine and tuned it. If not its only pumping out about 45-50bhp unless u got turbos under the seat?

Modifications include : 40 Over Bore , wiesco forged piston , hot wheels crank , stiffer valve springs , shimmed + forger valves , hot cams , BBR motosport Carb , Full Fmf Pipe..

Dyno'd at 94.9Bhp at the rear wheel , baring in mind my motorcycle is a 3rd of his engine size , Turbo's next , as soon as i find a smart car and take the turbo out of a diesel one :)

@ariexiete a little week? what do you expect from 1100 KGS and 68 horsepowers? if he remaps his car he would get 80-90 hp which is not so bad..and let's not forget the torque..200-210 nm from 160 nm

@golf1diesel I just say this because I had one Fiesta 1.4TDCI too, and also without remap. I know this is not a very fast car, but hey... I only said "little weak" :)

You can see my old Fiesta in my videos, but I know that probably you won´t believe like many many people that comment on it... I just guarantee to you that it is not a mount image and the car it´s not remap, but I went really downhill... :D

The speedo is in KPH, NOT MPH. I have a UK spec TDCi and at 70ish MPH My dial reads about 120 KPH so this car is only doing between 70-100 MPH nutting real special about that
