  • An "intelligence hero" indeed! Thank you for posting this information on Dusko Popov. What an amazing gentlemen to dedicate his life at that time to such dangerous work. I understand why he is singled out and described as "The Original James Bond" but after viewing this documentary, it would seem that the comparison diminishes the great intelligence this gentleman possessed-his being capable of memorizing so much true and false data in order for him to be able to be a believable spy is amazing!

  • 1/24/2012..There was a great doccumentary on the History Channel as part of their 'Secret Wars' series about Dusan "Dusko" Popov. He also wrote an autobiography which is reported to be very good, entitled "Spy/Counterspy"

    I intend to read it.
