the BEST food to eat before going to bed is: 6 egg whites with brocolli (or any other vegetable you like)..egg whites are high in albumin, a slow-digesting source of protein (like milk's casein), which is one of the most effective proteins for bodybuilding (along with whey protein for post-workout)...brocolli provides all them other nutrients the twins mentioned in the video above. @gogetatr12 I usually have my oatmeal in the mornings so I have a good start of the day, it keeps me full and gives me plenty of energy and has around 10g fibers in 2 servings. For night you should eat like eggs, a protein shake or something else high in protein. :)
@USCboy1 No not at all, sounds really good. Some people are worried about the cholesterol in all the eggs but recent studies shows that it has no effect on your blood when its eaten. Your body simple stops producing its own :) If youre bulking eat more of what you're eating, if you're cutting eat less!
@Gongchiu fruit contain simple sugars and would cause insulin spikes. Milk is alright, although it is very high in lactose... if anything man try to get some chicken, egg whites, cottage cheese etc as a protein source then some greens as a carb source. Broccoli is best, although beans, etc will also work

i drink milk before bed...if I don't it takes me about 30 mins to fall asleep even if I'm dead tired, as soon as I lie down I'm wide awake, if I drink milk it cuts it down to about 10-15 mins which really helps cause I can't stand how fucking annoying my body is when I'm trying to go to sleep and it just won't. I don't know if its because of the stuff in milk or just cause I've been doing it for a long time so im conditioned that way but it works for me
what do you mean by "insulin and hgh can't coexist"? do you mean that you'll gain fat that way? because slin + GH is pretty much 90% of why bodybuilders nowadays are so fucking huge compared to the 70's. it's also responsible for the roid gut issue which a lot of people think is visceral fat.

@TheLukass120 Good question mate, I would love these two to do a vid on it. They say that eating over 7pm or whatever means you store more of it as fat because your metabolism slows down after then. So my theory is that I take another full meal about an hour before I go to bed thats loaded with carbs. Because by that theory it should get stored as fat and any weight gain as an ecto is good right?

@TheLukass120 depends on the carb... hot chip carbs ( yummy carbs ) bad.. but brown rice carbs ( not so nice tasting carbs ) . are very good for ectomorph. :-)
@TheLukass120 if you eat too many carbs before bed, you will spike your insulin. if you spike your insulin, your body wont produce hgh while you sleep. if your not producing hgh as you sleep, you aint' gonna build NO muscle! this is true regardless of your body type.
@TheLukass120 not neccessarily ive always eaten before bed norm oats, also ectomorph its bs that u will put weight on if u eat before sleep u need food for the 8 hours your going to be asleep else body will have to pinch at fat n muscle to get the energy required for resting. I think some people just think u use 0 energy asleep while u burn something like 90-110? calories hour while asleep. Total daily calories is more important for building muscle or losing fat :P
in my experiance, i prefer spinach uncooked.. generally, they're very edible uncooked, but i havent tried alot of other leafy green shit. but if you want to boil, just stick it in a pan and when you think its done, drain it and eat. its preference. some people never cook vegetables because boiling destroys some of the nutritional value.. over the top imo. hope i helped
@DaansMontages it depends how much you weigh. basically i try to eat as much as someone would eat thats bigger then me. if you wanna be 200 pounds eat like a 200 pound man. but you should eat as much as you can if you are skinny and trying to bulk up. try to eat about 4,000 calories a day at least.
casein protein is great before bed...you should get "all scientific" about it.
If you dont want to drink some sort of casein shake then just eat some cottage cheese, but different types of protein have different absorption rates, and casein protein is one of the slowest. Which is why its one of the best for before bed.
I work mid night shift 12 - to 6 in the morning, i go home go to bed wake up bout 1 pm , take my c4 pre-workout and go to the gym will my muscle grow ?
@jordanr7777777 you will probably experience some growth, depending on many factors such as your nutrition, the number of hours you sleep and the effectiveness of your workout.. but the hard truth is that the human body is optomised for activity during the day and sleep during the night.. you will most likely experience more gain if you were sleeping at a more natural time.. my advise; search for another job that allows you to get the sleep you need at night, in long run you will be better off

in my experiance, i prefer spinach uncooked.. generally, they're very edible uncooked, but i havent tried alot of other leafy green shit. but if you want to boil, just stick it in a pan and when you think its done, drain it and eat. its preference. some people never cook vegetables because boiling destroys some of the nutritional value.. over the top imo. hope i helped

@DaansMontages it depends how much you weigh. basically i try to eat as much as someone would eat thats bigger then me. if you wanna be 200 pounds eat like a 200 pound man. but you should eat as much as you can if you are skinny and trying to bulk up. try to eat about 4,000 calories a day at least.

casein protein is great before bed...you should get "all scientific" about it.
If you dont want to drink some sort of casein shake then just eat some cottage cheese, but different types of protein have different absorption rates, and casein protein is one of the slowest. Which is why its one of the best for before bed.

@almada42 yep cheese is high in casein proteins, though i dont know about yogurt.... but if i had to guess i would guess its good too.
Although cottage cheese is one of the best before bed foods.

@jordanr7777777 you will probably experience some growth, depending on many factors such as your nutrition, the number of hours you sleep and the effectiveness of your workout.. but the hard truth is that the human body is optomised for activity during the day and sleep during the night.. you will most likely experience more gain if you were sleeping at a more natural time.. my advise; search for another job that allows you to get the sleep you need at night, in long run you will be better off
