Cut the fender off and fiberglass, sand, and paint over. Get cool light kit for cheap on ebay and you're in business. My girl has one and she's done major mods on it.

I'm loving the originality. You're right the fender does look like shit I'm trying to figure out what to do with mine. My 2009 ninja 250r is all stock still. Its my first bike. (wish me luck) What's your opinion of the m4 exhaust?
Good luck! The exhaust is awesome. It gets kinda loud at higher RPMs though. A little too loud for my taste. Thats why I got the silencer. Which helped a little.
Hey man u can buy a finder elminator on Ebay just type in 2008 Kawasaki ninja 250r and u should find one the 08 and 09 models are the same all they did was change the color or shall i say added the special edition that was it. i have the 09 special edition
@existential6 Just get a fender eliminator kits, Find them on ebay for under a hundred bucks with license plate light and all. Easy to install kit and not bad quality either.
Probably one of the best to start with! Problem is that unless ur hell bent on 60mpg and being able to keep up with a mustang GT at best, youll get bored with it. In fact i plan to sell mine next spring.
The plus side is that it was my first bike, and im still alive. Whereas if i had a 600 im sure i would of at least dropped it a few times. Great to learn on, I made my mistakes that would of cost me on a bigger bike. now that i have some experience, im ready for something bigger
My two brothers was pretty loud. the silencer helped a little. I havent heard a yoshi pipe in person so i dont know how loud it is. Problem with making it loud is how raspy the exhaust tone gets. Thats why i got the silencer. It gets annoying
dont use a yoshi.. unless you want your bike to sound like a hot dirtbike. yoshi sounds like SHIT! check out the HR1 rito shorty exhaust. i think its the only exhaust that actually compliments the bike. sounds good good, loud, and like a STREET bike.. not some piece of shit dirt bike with a busted exhaust.. i just being honest. and the exhaust is a shorty. it only weighs 3lbs! so many benefits to it. 2 bros sounds ok.
take off the rear mud guard, find a piece of L-shaped metal like a bent plate and bolt on the license plate in between the tail lights... it should look somewhat better then it looks now
i agree. ur instinct and bend some metal to make a bracket of ur own for ur plate and its light. don't pay $100+ for fender eliminator.... +10 for not getting the CF two bros. nice job with the cosmetics, lovin the clean custom look
