  • Hey you all I have an all original, matching numbers 1969 Dodge Super Bee with a 383 HP engine and a Hurst 4 Speed, anybody have any suggestions or comments for my restoration it's a pretty decent car that runs and drives but i'm gonna fix it up I got it 2 years ago at 17 years old and I don't know a whole lot about these cars.

  • @kowalskideahl

Join the coronet registry, just google it. I'm a member myself and the guys there are TONS of help. It's probably one of the best things you can do to get started.

  • No. It's just a stock 383 with flowmasters and it is a 4-speed.

  • Is it yours?I love the color combo and rims on it,I bet everyone looks at that thing when its being driven.

  • I love it....my friend had a 69 dark brownish...383 and we took it around the Loop here in St. Paul, Minnesota. The loop is no longer but back than it was a ball to lay'em down at the red light

  • is that the 5.7 hemi or u got some mods with it

  • I've got a 68 Roadrunner with a 383. Glad to see others having fun in the same ways I do!

  • Has to be an automatic he is power braking it.

  • Nothing burns out like a Mopar..383 are so cool i had a 69 Fury with a 383, awesome engine..

  • Hey , Thank you for all the great comments . I am selling some of my MOPAR parts I have collected over the years to get the car back on the road. It has been on the back burner for to long

  • Don't ever kid yourself on the 383 magnum in these 69 bee's. Some of them ran like a scalded dog. I took one up to my shop to paint it for a guy. He asked me to be nice to his baby but knew I'd get on it. I punched it a mile from his house and I actually thought the rear end was going to come around and meet the front end. Scared me to death. It was all stock with an automatic. Sure changed my mind on the 383's..Maybe this one just happens to run super good but I was impressed with it.

  • DAME IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sounds bigger than a 383 lol

  • there goes your tires! haha

    Beautiful mopar!

  • Gotta love those mopars

  • See this is the difference between an import and an American muscle car. You can hammer a muscle car all day long and not hurt a thing. Do that with 99% of the imports on the road today and you will blow the motor or fuck up the drive line!

  • @THEBEASTOFOLD word,

    American muscle all daii

  • They don't break, you dumb ass. I got my 383 Plymouth in 1983 with 99,000 miles on it. Now it has 185,000, and, I CAN'T break it.

Do the math. Who's the asshole now?

  • 279,000 on Magnum 318 hmm still runs like a beast

  • 318 w/ 284,000 miles

  • ^ exactly.

I've foamed the oil numerous times and wound it so high that its pushrods should be bent to hell a looong time ago. the sound of a floating valve train that can't keep up with the crankshaft is loud as hell. first time I heard it was a real "WTF???" moment. the trans (727) can't hold fluid because it runs out the front seal fast as you can pour it in, and it's been that way for around 14 years. I've added no fluid in the last 5 or 6 and there is no sign yet that it's being hurt.

  • ya a dyno test just might throw a rod on your Vchoke engine. Dumbass tuner get a life. Asshole. This car can try all it wants but it won't break

  • my dick just moved a little to the right

  • hahahahaha no kidding huh?

  • That's a badass ride!

  • isn't it great that we can call that "stock performance?" imports, go to hell!

  • Just drop the clutch & brake = Brakestand !!!

  • Are you sure this is a 4spd? Either it has a line lock or someone is riding the brake. I have never done a power brake in a manual transmission car. Just drop the clutch & go.

  • Sure it is! Brake standing a manual trans is easy. Just rev it up, drop the clutch and imeadetly mash the brake. Just be careful. If your clutch is weak or you dont do it just right you will smoke your clutch!

  • Awsome!!!!!! My dad has a 1969 Roadrunner B5 Blue 4 speed that we are restoring right now but I always loved the Super Bees!!!! MOPAR!

  • Well b5bluerunner, I have one, I'm about to restore shortly I hope, but it runs and drives right now and isn't really that bad, it's all original and matching numbers too, a 1969 Dodge Super Bee 383 HP Magnum with a 4 speed ahh don't that get ya going?
