Nothing this band has done is original, just simple rehashes of what's already been done. We'll see if they are around in 20 years, playing the same retread songs that they currently play. @davidpolensky I still think you miss my perspective and philosophy; I wasn't exalting this band, just the album, mate - everything else I've heard from them, after they were dissuaded from going the old-school heavy metal route blazed on this collection, has been utter shite. You're right. Heavy metal is an attitude, not a tempo or a specific sound. You should hold up bands liked Iced Earth and Blind Guardian, especially when espousing retreading ground, to the same standard.:-)

Iced Earth is fantastic, Blind guardian is epic but Demons and Wizards wasn't very good IMHO. another reason why bands like IE and BG are so good is that the lyrical content of their songs always keeps you guessing album to album they are true story tellers. trivium on the other hand are juvenile and predictable with the lyrical content of their songs.
