NO, China is not a superpower, and We have NO desire to be the so called "superpower". China is 1st world, 2nd world and third world put together. There are many poor people and many poor parts of China not shown here. Our per capita GDP is only $3566/year, one tenth of Japans. We have a Looong way to go.

Awesome pictures. Sometimes, I had to pause the video to just take the pictures in. I've been to China before and it's a great place to visit, and you can see it progressing quickly.
However, I saw a picture of Taiwan in the video. I wonder why China won't just let Taiwan's people decide their own destinies. If they did so, and were OK with the result - either way the Taiwanese chose - they'd truly be a great benevolent nation.
I think I'll visit China again this year!

@Rationalific I am glad you enjoyed your visit to China. However, I think before commenting about Taiwan you should learn some history first. Taiwan has been a part of China since the Qing dynasty (1644) as part of Fujian province. Then during the Chinese civil war in the 1930s and 40s, Chiang's KMT forces lost to Mao's forces and literally fled to Taiwan and established the KMT (Chinese Nationalist) government there.

@Rationalific Ever noticed that the official name of Taiwan to this day is 'Republic of China'? It is because both (KMT in Taiwan and CCP in Mainland) regard themselves as the sole legitimate government of the entity 'China'. To speak about Taiwan independence is like telling Spanish people that Basque should be independent, or that Texas should be independent from USA. And it is the best way to irritate Chinese people. No responsible government in this world is going to tolerate that.

China is helping other poor countries, while the US is invading other small countries. The US used to the model for the world to look up to, but i think everything has changed now.
