I even fit the emulator (pSX 1.13) window to the same size and put it side by side with the YouTube video window to make sure I have the same position, altitude and angle.

How long do you accelerate during the landing? Do you just push the O button once or press it till touchdown or anything in between?

It's probably best to stop the highwind completely, press O once and hold down left while you land. It might just be easier to breed a blue chocobo if you can't do though =D

I feel a bit stupid right now. I just found out what the problem was.

I had the worldmap camera set to the perspective, were it is higher up and always faces north. Once I switched to the other perspective (which can only be done on foot of Chocobo) the Highwind no longer faced north all the time....

Of course I only found that out after breeding a blue Chocobo and getting into the cave with it ^^

Is there any more trick to this landing than just flying to the edge of the cliff and surge forward before the toughdown?

Because when I try that, my Highwind just skimms around the edge of the grass and stopps facing north, which either puts me on the grass or drops me into the water....

I also just noticed that while the Highwind in the video land as it floats, my Highwind always comes down facing exactly north.

When the screen darkens as Tifa and Cloud are left alone it does very well to show how Tifa is despairing, trying to talk to Cloud, knowing he can't hear her...

It's depressing to see Cloud, the tough hero, being reduced to a wheelchair-bound vegetable who can't say anything other than "ah gurk aah uh..."

And it's worse when you play the game for the first time and you really don't know if Cloud's going to get through it or not. Imagine if he was never himself again for the rest of his life...

You get the Chocobo near the Ship and then you press "O" on the controller right next to it and then it will just disappear into it. I hope I helped.

a: the chocobo has been exposed to SERIOUSLY high levels of mako and thats why he is sick

ya know ya can pull off teh quandra magic without a chocbo, you have to kinda fly the highwind sideways and land it at eh same timne, and you end up getting off teh wrong side of teh ledge.

Yeah you just need to enter the highwind normally but while you're riding a chocobo =D

Oh cloud NO! Now this is my first time watching this walkthru and i've never played the game and non of his biographys say anything about this! Rawr. I think someone, or I, should write an in depth one or something. I hear some people write a "novel" or turn this into a book. I want to find that. Anyone know?

@sarablack10 I've been trying to find out if there are any novelizations too, and there don't seem to be any, at least not published. I was kind of thinking that if nobody had done it yet, I might... :P we can do it as a team, LOL!

on FF7 nothing happens because they don't try to make the game too realistic. Plus this is the 90s we're talking here.

It repeats the last action someone in your party did, don't think it works with limit breaks though =D

it works.. but with the same person using it.. example.. lik cloud used omislash and no 1 has done anyting after that.. if cloud is equip with the mimic materia it can be used again with cloud using it

Hey could you tell me how you did that... where you went down that hill to get quadra materia with the ship... I keep on trying but the ship keeps turning to the other side and letting me out the other side for some reason...
