I can. I've uploaded the COMPLETE performance of it (and Liszt's 2 piano concerti and the Totentanz, with the 2 Cziffras) few days ago. It's audio only (HQ), but it's still fascinating.
Along with Liszt's first piano concerto the Hungarian Fantasy was Cziffra's calling card in the late 1950's and 1960s. This film must be from the 1970s. Wonderful to see father and son together but also very sad as Cziffra Jr. died in a house fire in 1981.
This is Liszt's Hungarian Fantasy, not the orchestration of the 14th Hungarian Rhapsody. This rhapsody did however serve as a basis for this section of the piece. There is also a hint of the 2nd Hungarian Rhapsody earlier in the piece.
Conrad Ansorge (1862-1930) was a pupil of Liszt in 1885. Ansorge made piano rolls of 9Liszt works. One was Triphonola roll no. T 53799 of solo version of this piece. It was played back on a Hupfeld Roenisch "Anamatic" Phono-Liszt upright piano. I have put a recording of this onto CD which is one of a 3 CD set enclosed with the book "Rediscovering the Liszt Tradition" by Gerard Carter & published & sold by Wensleydale Press 165/137 Victoria Street, Ashfield NSW 2131 Sydney NSW Australia.
For the great artist as he was, he spoke with the utmost modesty and gentleness. His son was a genius as well, too bad, they both passed away... I wish I could bring them back!
You just showed an incredible ingnorance when it comes to languages. Hungarian has nothing to do with Turkish - a completely different group of languages... Pity people use this space to chat about nothing...
The Liszt Hungarian Fantasy and first piano concerto were Cziffra's calling cards in the late 1950s. His debut at London's Royal Festival Hall with these works caused a furore. Cziffra's improvisatory style suits these pieces ideally.
