Because the Scandinavians and therefore the vikings (Scandinavians on raid, as I may remind you) had to import iron. It is true that some of the people who's ancestors would become vikings, many thousands of years later, came from the area that we today call Germany. However, if you want to claim that Germans are vikings just because vikings took a path through Germany to reach Scandinavia, then all Germans are also Russians because Germans came from Russia.

@AeroTiberian Western Europe? Vikings? How about you starting to educate yourself in this subject? Western Europe back in the Viking age were Christians and a target for the Vikings. Vikings were warriors from Scandianvia and the places they colonised (Sweden,Norway,Denmark,Iceland,Faroe Islands).

@ Nouserz -Norway is located on the Scandinvian Peninsula. The Scandinavian and Jutland Penninsula were prominant areas of Iceland. As for England - that can make you part Anglo-Saxon. So yes. Here is the thing though, if you love a culture and wish to share that culture you can BE it in your heart, no matter what.

@darkarm3rocks hmm.. in swedish, its called a "mungiga" translated to english that is "jew's harp" if you dont know what that is, it is a small harp-shaped metal object with a little metal piece in the middle. you put the instrument sideways in your mouth and then you hit the little metal piece and a sound will emit. you can shape your mouth in order to create different tones. but god! it tickles like hell in your mouth XD
