What kind of amp is that cuz i just got a fender rumble 25 and i think you should get one cuz i think the amp sounds good by the way awesome cover thats CGCF tuning right
at that time it was a behringer starter pack bass, Zoom B2 multieffects unit...that went straight to the laptop's line in jack. Now I have a Sterling, and a Boss ODB3 pedal that I'd have used in this video
nvm my bad, someone already asked that. I just wanna know cause i just started bass, and im looking at joining my friends band, and i want to know a range of how long it would take to get good enough to be in it(i've been playing for a week only, but i've been practicing about 2-3 hours a day everyday so far, and i'm taking lessons =P)
sorry for the late reply. if you plan to play decent basslines (not just root note chugging)...practise covering songs that have decent basslines. Covering/learning RHCP songs gave me a huge jump in terms of dexterity in my fingers...and if you pay attention enough you'll pick up theory from it as well. I'd say start looking for a band in 7...8 months...then in a year you'll be ok enough to start playing with one
needs work, i don't know if it's you tube or what, but it keeps clicking between notes, try to play it smoother, i make a vid myself, but i brokemy arm, it really sucks, i sound like a 2-year old when i play
Nice one man, sounds good, I only learned this song tonight, pretty similar 2 the way you played it, and I added some stuff from you that I was missing. Thanx man, good job.
no. it's a preset fuzz effect in my Zoom B2 Multieffects unit. I did modify it a bit. I think I rolled off the treble a little bit. Added a little bass, and some compression.
honestly...I have absolutely no idea. I didn't do ANY research before I went out and bought my starter bass pack. From the looks of it though...the Ibanez starter packs are very popular. So are the yamaha ones. They should be within the $300 budget...if you need to add you'll probably have to add $50 more.
it only says on the tuner LB 4E 3A 2D 1G. If i turn to the right it gets loose and it goes to LB and if i keep turning right it get so loose if i strum it wont make a sound. when i turn it left it cycles through those letters gets to tight and eventually breaks so idk what to do.
tried tuning but my tuner idk how to use top string sounds weird loose and it says CB on the tuner then second string is 1G and it dont sound right but it gets way to loose the other way and then 3rd is as fucked as the top
yeah idk anything about it ill try it again when it gets fixed. just felt like it was so loose if i turned it anymore itd fall off but apparently i did the opposite of what i was supossed to do and it did just that.
standard tuning is the highest you'll have to tune...unless you want to experiment with different ones yourself. but everything else is below that...which means strings are supposed to feel looser...and floppier. CGCF isn't that bad...try a drop B...and you'll see how loose that is lol.
true. CGCF isnt that bad. thats what my bass is tuned to. the only problem i have is that my strings rattle against the frets a little to much. But my bass isnt the best you can get. so i winder if that is the reason. but imy bass better than some of the others out there.
sorry, you'll have to forgive me, ive only been playing for 6 months so im not to sure what you mean by action. but if you mean to ask if my strings are set low to the neck, then yes they are.
you tuned it down right? but thats beside the point you did a realy good job. my teacher gave me this songs bass line and i'm kinda a beginer and i'm having a hard time playing it.
sweett, lovee this song just learned it also on my bass

T16Akatsuki 3 years ago
there is some static noise...I don't know how to eliminate that. and as for the click...it's the fuzz...makes the strings very sensitive

no. it's a preset fuzz effect in my Zoom B2 Multieffects unit. I did modify it a bit. I think I rolled off the treble a little bit. Added a little bass, and some compression.

GlazedDonut69 3 years ago
that sounds like one complicated tuner man. get a simpler tuner lol
jjibon 3 years ago
nvm it says LB not CB lol im fuckin confused as fuck man
GlazedDonut69 3 years ago
tried tuning but my tuner idk how to use top string sounds weird loose and it says CB on the tuner then second string is 1G and it dont sound right but it gets way to loose the other way and then 3rd is as fucked as the top

thanks luckily my friend has a set of strings so i got lucky there
GlazedDonut69 3 years ago
yeah idk anything about it ill try it again when it gets fixed. just felt like it was so loose if i turned it anymore itd fall off but apparently i did the opposite of what i was supossed to do and it did just that.
GlazedDonut69 3 years ago
good luck man. it hurts...cuz bass strings are friggin expensive...specially when you're a student (i.e. me lol).
jjibon 3 years ago
fuck prob lol idk tuned it one way it felt like it was way to loose turned the other way flew off and slapped me in the face so idk
GlazedDonut69 3 years ago
standard tuning is the highest you'll have to tune...unless you want to experiment with different ones yourself. but everything else is below that...which means strings are supposed to feel looser...and floppier. CGCF isn't that bad...try a drop B...and you'll see how loose that is lol.

hellhole1991 3 years ago
that might have to do with your action. do you keep a very low action?
jjibon 3 years ago
sorry, you'll have to forgive me, ive only been playing for 6 months so im not to sure what you mean by action. but if you mean to ask if my strings are set low to the neck, then yes they are.
hellhole1991 3 years ago
that's exactly what I was asking. that's the reason of the "rattling". you might want to raise the action.
jjibon 3 years ago
thanx dude. :)
hellhole1991 3 years ago
i tried tuneing my bass to cgcf but i tuned the bottom string to f i never got there and it broke so idk how to do that....

jjibon 3 years ago
what tabs do you use? or do you play by ear? cuz i tried everything and it dosent sound as good.
doftpunk101 3 years ago
a little bit of a and a little bit of b. I look at tabs, and then "fix" them as much as I can by listening.
jjibon 3 years ago
