Do you transplant these plants out in June?

@Shutkaroo Keep them in the greenhouse, unless you can guarantee a lovely warm climate. Pot up in 6 inch pots when they are large enough. i've got to do mine this weekend.

good info but I wonder about the sanitation... the pots are filthy from old soil. I always transplant into cleaned pots, to help keep diseases at bay

@HackerGuitarist I give the pots a bit of a clean out, I suppose I should clean them better, but when they were in the old greenhouse any bugs got frozen and killed by the frost. The only time I seem to get infections and when they are in the ground at the allotment, and it's blight on the tomatoes. The aubergines this year are growing great, so hopefully I'll have lots to eat. Thanks for the concern.

i got green house but not heater when should i start seeding

You can start them on the window sill inside from the ens of March. If starting in the greenhouse I'd wait until mid to late April. They don't like the cold, so watch out for cold nights and cover with a plastic cloche. If their nis going to be a frost, bring inside.

We say Eggplant here in the USA and Shrimp here and prawns are 2 different things here prawns are the large freshwater shrimp. They are tasty.

i have the hardest time growing eggplants..they germinate then fall over and die or they just dont germinate.

They like warm weather especially for germination. I had 3 and they were eaten 1 night by something, but not a snail/slug. They are very hard to grow. Next year I'll try starting them on the window sill, and see how that goes. I'll make a video. They need loads of tlc.

you can buy varieties of aubergines now that will produce a lot of fruit now
