Could you please help? I'm new to keyboarding and want to play things like johnny b goode and play them not in the key of c . Maybe e or a. seems like all the instruction videos are in c.
how funny to watch this video, by the way you have the best videos...when i began to play the blues i naturally started ussing the d and a in this minor blues scale..i really like how you use the scale tho, great vid
Great concept that is easy to remember since you can basically just play the 2 and six in the left hand and then improvise using the jazz blues scale and that would be simple to remember in any key. Wonderful information and tutorial here. Thanks so much for helping me to stop and dissect how easy it all actually is!
I suppose it depends on whether you're used to improvising on modes or not.
If people are used to the blues scale, they'd probably find it easier to think of it as a Blues Scale with an added 2nd and 6th. That's how I prefer to think of it anyway.
Thanks a TON dude love the videos. I've been playin for a few years now and your vids. always give me something new to think about. but can you do another video on left hand chord voicings, like the ones you used in this video?
Just wondering if you'd like to do a collab boogie-woogie? Just a thought. Check what I've got on my channel, even though it's a bit old. I can post a new one for it.

Cool, I always thought of that as just mixing Dorian with Blues. Or adding a b5 to Dorian.

Yeah, that's a good way of thinking of it.
