flash 8800gt into 9800gt tutorial (part 1)

Thanks for the great tutorial and file with everything you need! It worked fine for me, backed up first then flashed my eVGA 8800 GT SC 512MB to eVGA 9800 GT SC 512MB. In NiBiTor v5.4 I looked at the clock speeds from the old stock BIOS and changed them on the new 9800 GT ROM file so they would default to the same after flashing. Worked just fine! The new BIOS actually starts faster, I can now see more of my POST bootup! Was able to get my 8800GT & 9800 GT to run SLI together, no problem :)

I got it done ! I would have had it done sooner had my USB front ports cooperated but once I decided to disable 3.0 and use the back USB ports it installed quickly and easily. Sir thankyou so much for posting a video on how to do this as a video is much easier to follow than text on a page.

I finally got it working!

I looked around the net for the error I got and found someone with the same problem. They fixed it with this command which I also used.

nvflash --index=1 -5 -6 9800.rom

when typing nvflash -4 -5 -6 9800.rom

I get the error

Solutions:

1. make sure that your rom file is in "ROM" format.

2. make sure that the file you are flashing is named 9800.rom where rom is an extencion
