I think another part of the reason they are not as well known as they should be, is that they carried on after the plane crash; which in my opinion was an incredibly foolish thing to do. People always compare steve vai, yngwie and those types to EVH... In all honesty, Id put EVH and SRV in the same bracket... they are just sooooo natural and at ease, playing whatever the fuck they want, not to be cool or sound good, but just to enjoy themselves. @stanleystar1 It's not the guitar, It's the strings that I use. I use .013-.056 gauge strings tuned to Eb like stevie did on his number one strat. (You can see that he uses thick strings the Live at El Mocambo when he plays Lenny).
