@iLoveiPad4699 that would mean that he would have to configure his router to port 443 and if he did that everyone would use his server and he wouldn't be able to use it for his own use. The machine isn't powerful enough to run loads of people. If would be incredibly slow or even unusable.

@med9438 its local as long as you have kept it local, If you want to take it to 3G then you need to configure your router to allow port 443. Then go back into the hosts file on your iPhone/iPad then replace the local ip with the ip of your router. If your routers ip is dynamic then that means it will change regularly so you can get a static ip or change the ip regularly in the hosts file

ok so I got siri proxy up and running, even installed some plug ins. I restarted my computer, opened up terminal typed " cd SiriProxy" got to the siriproxy directory and then used "rvmsudo siriproxy server" and its saying "No such file or directory" ... what am i doing wrong?

@jmeyerhead If you're getting an error that says siriproxy: No such file or directory Make sure you are in the right directory. To change directories use the cd command. e.g. CD SiriProxy. If you restart Ubuntu, or go into another directory, you will not be in the same directory that contains SiriProxy.

I understand what a virtual machine is and everything about them and I've attempted setting up many of my own virtual machines but it is very difficult. it seems that a lot of people have a hard time understanding how they work. I think the most effective method of teaching people this is through a detailed text document or blog...

Ok, took the rvmsudo command out for to try, but now it says it starts on port 433 but i get this:

@Time2Killing I had a really hard time installing a virtual machine, so what I did was install Ubuntu with Wubi (an installer, look it up here in YouTube) so I have a dual-boot between Windows OR Ubuntu. It doesn't mess up with your Windows OS in any way, it worked for the best like that for me.
