Dudes, they're called brakes. It takes longer to crash and get back on than it does to do it slower. Of course, that's not as exciting as a bunch of crashes...doh!
A heavy metal soundtrack would have worked better... but that's just me.

the problem with your theory is that you had to go into yard sale with speed. the rocks are so jagged that if you were going slow you would stall and crash. Its always a lose lose situation with the 'ol Yard Sale, RIP.
