  • nice clip thanks for sharing i enjoyed it =)

  • ファンの方には申し訳ないが、私には大人し過ぎる演奏で、少々物足りない。

The fans who are sorry, Take a little better, but I think, a little unsatisfactory.

(In Japanese environment, I use Google translation)

  • That number is swinging, nice drum solo ideas, need to try them out right now...

  • benny IS and always will be KING OF SWING

This is not a patch on Benny if he heard this he would be turning in grave

    as would Gene Krupa

  • after about 10 minutes of searching on youtube, leave it to the japanese to actually play it right. only better one was benny himself

  • the drummer face just makes this vid for me

  • They're so musically accurate! The reason it doesn't sound like everything is there is because, THEY'RE MISSING SOUL!!! FEEL THE SWING AND LET IT GUIDE YOUR PLAYING!!! LET LOOSE!!!

  • Maybe just a touch more clip, staccato, and tempo? A very good version overall, though.

  • El D'arienzo nipón del swing.Bravo!

  • Get in the car boys. The drummer's driving!

  • 四方田勇夫(Dr)さんの映像を、どなた様かアップ・ロードお願い致します!

    2009 10-7

  • they need to get their heads out of the sheet music and LET GO- trust the SWING!!

  • Agreed! Look for the post '1940s Swing' - there is much more poer and confidence there. ,This is just imitations, and although skillful, it lacks the dynamism of the original.

  • These guys are beyond awesome...Makes me almost forget Benny Goodman.

  • ...what did you just say?

How can you FORGET Benny Goodman?

  • That drummer is a beast. He has such perfect control. He lets loose at the perfect time.

  • Great job guys

  • needs more trumpet but other than that its pretty much amazing

  • WOW..wow...wow! I want to play like that Clarinet player ( when he did that solo..) that would be awsome ( Yeah and I play Clarinet...and Im in 7th grade lol )

  • OHH MY GOD. WHO IS THAT DRUMMER! THAT SOLO IS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY! ive been drumming jazz for 12 years, and i couldn't even begin to do that

  • type in: gene krupa sing sing sing

and you will see this song played in practically double time from this. Krupa is king! no comparison.

  • to chaussee123: yeh Krupa was amazing......but at least it's good that these musicians are trying to keep this stuff alive

  • then checkout buddy rich ;)

  • spend your thirteenth year copying it beat for beat- that's what a Japanese would do

  • ネ申..._〆(゚▽゚*)ですね・・・・・。

    なんもいえませんよ。

    見習いたいですね。

  • wow these guys r great for their elderly age lolz.

  • great video!!!

  • Main problem is that the drummer is too loud and the brass are too soft

  • Consider that the song was written to be mainly based around the drums.

They've actually taken out alot of the solo drum parts that are in this piece, but I guess they made up for it by miking the drums louder...

    Hm.

  • not so bad. but not so good.

  • much so.

  • this is the muisic i won british national gymnastic championships and this was my music for my floor routine :D

  • Great job, great drum kit, I have the sameone, they're worht a lot now.

  • Excellent! True to the original.

  • That clarinet solo is AMAZING, I hope i can be that good.

  • How is it fake??

Any ways, good job you guys. you sounded great. I'd watch the transition to the solo, though. It sounded a bit off.

  • Amazing Clarinet solo, very inspiring

  • sing sing singgg !!

  • WHY do people have to say something about krupa!!!!? Its about the drummer who is doing it now.

  • nice

i play this song on a pearl

  • The drummer is pretty good. He had just a little tempo problem leading up to the solo. But this drum beat seperates the Krupas from the rest of the crowd.

  • we got our first trumpet to do a solo instead of a clarinet.

  • Really cool Video!

I watched several Asian Bigbands ( only on youtube!) and to me it seems, that there is some kind of Asian style. Very discpilined and very organized. Instead of one the hole section gets the possibility to blow.

Musicians sit different, they go in front of the Band to the MIC and don't have their own, or get up e.g. if there a "Sax-feature".

Is this a stupid impression, or definitly a development of an own style ?!

    Chris

  • Our jazz band on improv solos have soloists go up to the microphone. In Shuffle stop, there's a tenor, trumpet, alto (me! ahaa) and bari. The bari gets to stay, because she is the last soloist, which means last time, and right after the solo section, there's a solo, and the band director didn't want her to walk all the way back. It's probably some bands that walk up to the microphone or get up in a soli. Like our band!

  • Sorry, there is a sax *soli*.

  • hid sajds ahd wdge !!

  • Hontou ni jyozu datta....

  • Best version of "Sing, Sing, Sing" I've found yet... :-) Even better than the Boston Orchestra. hehe Excellent job, guys!! Louis Prima and Benny Goodman would be proud.

  • Very nice, swing and great musical qualities.

  • That was too cool! Nice clarinet solo too, reminds me of Benny Goodman's artistic solos on the same song. Sugoi!

  • dance dance dance !!! oh yea

  • wow! i didn't a bunch of ojisan can play like that! they are seasoned professionals, really seasoned. oh gosh, i'm dancing!
