I knew about him when I was learning English at College. He was interviewed for an ELS video; which name I can't remember right now. I saw the interview a thousand times, because he also performed this piece after it. It was mind blowing! Ten years later I came across his "Oxford Suite" Cd in a record store. There were only two items, so I guess I'm lucky for having one of them! Too bad they did not bring the rest of the albums to Chile, where I'm from.
I love his music, last weekend I heard him in York, doing Oxford suite part 1. unfortunately I was in a rush and couldn't stop to listen, (parents, shopping...) but I searched online and when I'm older, I want to see him perform again, he's brilliant!
Most people my age (14) wouldn't ever listen to music that isn't 'mainstream' but i guess i'm not one of those people, i'm definatly going to get his cd's. :)
Hey, guess what? I'm 14, too, and that is EXACTLY what I think. I heard Oxford Suite part 1 in a Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes music video once recently (which made me cry, by the way), and I loved it immediately. I also love Mozart, Debussy, Oren Lavie, Regina Spektor, Billie Holiday, and many others. I also listen to popular, "current" music, but I like the stuff that invokes emotion. I'm sort of drawn to deep emotions. This music is beautiful, some of the best I've ever heard.
Thanks for posting such a good quality video. There are a few on here but none as good as this.
How do you know where he is going to be busking? And does he busk at Oxford anymore? i would love to go and watch for a few hours! One amazing talent that I need to see Live!

You're unbelievably lucky. I aim to travel to see Ed too. I'm just afraid that I will get lost looking for him and miss my only chance :(

You can't really get lost in Chester city centre, it's not very big. Ed can usually be found on the high street. Just follow the music :)

Well done Chrissy, you got to see him at last and I doubt you will ever forget his 'personal' performance! Ed's performance is worth travelling for.
