  • In A'Aish, do you pronouce alif and ayn separately?

  • I still don't get how to pronounce "ayn" and when to use it.

  • iris

    ع=ayn

    u can use it like that

    عين=eye

  • But they say "Iraq" is spelled with ayn-ra-qaf instead of yow-ra-qaf. So is ayn like yaw?

    So difficult!

  • iris

    u r 100% the way u wrote iraq

  • becausse the way u pronounce iraq in arabic is like AYN...3eraq :)

  • iris, the proper way to pronounce iraq, is not

    YowrAq, عraq

    the actual sound the ayn makes is probably not very close how it is pronounced in english

    both pronounciations(EErAq, IrAq) in english are incorrect when comparring to the actual arabic language

  • Maltese has a big percentage of arabic in it so most of the words are similar.

  • really like your accent of arabic. its sounds pure and poetic as compared to many other native speakers.

  • I used to teach KIDS like you and believe me I can deciplin you as I did to them. I'm gonna teach you what respect is and how to be polite when it comes to expressing your opinion. I'm with your dad not to use his camera cause you act irrisponssiblly

  • Khaled! could you tell me why "ana esmí..."? ana means I am and esmi means my name. thus this results in "i am my name xy"....

    you would rather say: ana xy or esmí xy, wouldnt you?

  • In Arabic there is nothing like " am ,is are" .

    Also ,you can say " esmi ... " without saying " ana" and it w'd sound better cuz saying " ana esmi... " is too formal .

    esmi Muhammad =My name is Muhammad

    the " i " at the end of the word "esmi " is like "my"

    so to say , kitabi = my book .

    you wrote on your channel :اهلا! اسمي دنالة

    This is translated as : hi my name is Dnalh

  • I see, thank you! I know all of the rules you wrote, therefore it seemed me illogical to say "ana ismi"...

    first i wrote on my papers "ana esmi" and in my last arabic lesson my teacher said that it was not good. but in practice i do hear using "ana ismi"... quite interesting!

    so it is common to say ana esmi, isnt it?

  • as for my channel, yes, i was trying to translate my name into arabic but unfortunately its not easy. i didnt use short vowels and thats the result, you cannot read :( I am sad to have such a name (btw so far it was quite international...) At the end it supposed to be an "a" as I am a female and not "h"... I will try to write it in another way!

  • Most of the Arabic females names end with 'H' such as Fatima Aamina Aisha Sherifa you see it ended with 'A' because (I think) it is easier for English speaker to pronounce it . But in Arabic they are ended with 'H' فاطمة امنة عائشة شريفة
  • Verb to be in Arabic as follow:- ana akoon, heya takoon, howa yakoon, nahnu nakoon, hum iakono. in Arabic we don't use verb to be very ofetn and if u look and listen to my vedio, u will notice that I didn't use ana akoon esmi khaled, but I said, ana esmi khaled. if u want to say it as in english it would be like... ana esmi yakoon ( yakoon means is) khaled, but we don't use this type of speech in Arabic. so we don't use verb to be very often, just remember that

  • @dyandra84

    "ana" means I. and not {I am} "ana akoon" means {I am}

    but we mostly just drop the "akoon" verb, and we say for example:

    "Ana Taleb" : "I student" which means {I am a student}

  • So that's how you say Egypt in Arabic.

    Ana Esmi Khairiya :)

  • hi...my name is magdy abdo can I help u in arabic?

  • ana min al-madzsar :) thanks for this clip, it helped me a lot at the couple of my first steps in learning arabic!
