Killing Joke live... Excellent....but just one question.... Why did Jaz Coleman stop playing that old Oberheim Keyboard? He used to hurl it about and make it drone like a real horrific, screechy Siren!
hoooooolyyyyyy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit... this brings memory back to an old man, remembering the weird pogonights in freiburg... ohhhh my gooood!!!gorgeous music, gorgeous band, gorgeous times...
@Trgr66 Where were you in '94? Youth toured w/ KJ on that Pandemonium tour. I got to meet all of them but Jaz. My old band opened for them in Palo Alto, CA late Oct 94. Rad show I'll never forget, I still have the set times sheet for the bands which was posted backstage.
@jodi183 ...i must have been in coma... i wasnt aware of that. But thats just supercool! He's a demon bassplayer, take the bass-riff on wardance... Wow!
@jodi183 I was at that gig in Palo Alto.Met Jaz's cousin while hangin around the sound desk and she took me back to meet the band after..including Jaz! Funny thing was I was at the very first show of this tour in Dublin,Ireland 18 months earlier and Youth kept asking me how it compared.I was so close to leaving all behind to join the tour bus..
dude ok for one Raven smokes Smoked the goodplants but um im sure JAZ has his share of substance he just didnt like go exploiting it to the world that would be dumb and anyways i know they Were Drinkers they Drink alcohol liquor wine heh if u lok o youtube theres a interview video where the band is roundeach other passing a bottle around its called IT GOES IN CYCLES check it on youtube
@punkeruit1965 - maybe Jaz was hospitable to those he knew but, I got to open for them years ago and he had a tent constructed out of cloth tapestries backstage which he confined himself to the entire time after the show. I got the impression he was very private and not into partying. The rest of the band were very social and super cool.
Jaz and Geordie are a match made in heaven if there ever was one. Nearly every single song they recorded is a classic! The list is endless and not a single cover on it. No other band can come even close to that despite their possible "status".
I grew my teenage rebellion to this tune...this is scary stuff...saw them a couple of times in the early eighties...Jaz was awesome...a demon on stage...
Well, either this is the BEST thing on youtube........ or Soggy - waiting for the war- can't make my mind up! Both are phenomenal in their intensity and utter deranged mentalism
Great to see this footage back up here, thank you!Must be the rarest KJ video. The previous time it was uploaded by someone else (but unfortunately taken down, why?)the quality was much better, and also in colour,I'm guessing this was recorded off a black & white TV set, imagine that! B&W TV's were still around in the eighties...living in the eighties..struggle..arrggghhh

lot of speeds/amphetamin going on in the eighties, so i've heard.
when they owned/squatted a fancy house aspecially their singer seems to be a very friendly, sweet and very hospitable host.
can anyone confirm that?
cheers,
KJ fur immer;-)
