download the normal firmware and do the dfu thing then you should have a normal ipod

and then the 1602 error came up

so i had to re-jailbreak my iphone using redsn0w to 3.0 firmware

when you go from 2.2.1 to 3.0 its not downgrading its upgrading...

but i have a problem.

i have an iphone 2g and i have already jailbroken and unlocked it for tmobile.

it has been working fine on the 3.0 firmware.

i decided to get it to run on 3.1 firmware and i followed this video.

itunes recognizes my iphone as a new iphone,

and everytime i clock SHIFT + RESTORE, and select the 3.1 firmware file, it loads, then doesnt work.

i tried the 3.0 firmware file i previously downloaded butno

OK, I downgraded my firmware back to 3.0 and reunlocked it with redsn0w and back at the begining again. Not sure what i did wrong. Any ideas?

I am on iPhone 3Gs Jailbroken version 3.01 and I want to update so that I can have mms messaging. If I do this update in the video, will this erase everything? I have a lot of stuff on my phone. I've jailbroken iphones before but never updated a jailbroken iphone.

You restore (shift+restore) watch the video carefully

And if you want your iphone 3gs unlocked dont do this (unlocked means to use your iphone on like t-mobile)

you didnt watch the video as i can tell .... you have to be jailbroken on 3.0/3.0.1 already.....
