  • does't even soud any different

  • you could have just put it into a loop lol

  • cd ta furado?? shuauhsu

  • 1) you could make that song into a loop

  • Should i get this or the Hercules DJ Control MP3 E2? Or like a Korg NanoPad?? Thanks!

  • does it work on win7 64bit

  • stolen 3 minitue from my life!

  • bought mine for 26 bucks :)

  • are there hot cues on the board?

  • @memphistigers777 unfortunately no hot cues on board... its as basic of a beginner set as it gets.

  • @JusFnAround is it worth $99?

  • @memphistigers777 It depends.... Its hard to say. I can afford it so I did it. I also didnt have a problem droppin the additional $99 on the Audio 2 DJ sound card, so that I can listen to the music on my speakers, and then cue up music on my headphones.... That being said, I used it and loved it for 9 months. Virtual DJ make a huge difference too, but at the end of 9 months I upgraded myself to the Vestax Typhoon.... If you can afford $300 then thats a good option. Think of this as step 1

  • @JusFnAround why did you buy the a2dj? you can get a usb soundcard for like $4 on dealextreme (that's what I did).

my set up is: discover dj $50, usb soundcard $4 , usb numpad (for effects, hotcues etc) $5, and virtual dj 7 $0 ;)

  • @bennyherber Well DAM Benny....... That info could have saved some coin last year. when I bought the stuff....

That being said, Can you do all of us a favor, and show how you have all those compenents connected, and how did you configure them in the MixVibes Software.... I tried a USB sound card myself, and could never get the configuration right. So Im sure a Video would be greatly appreciated by all....

  • @JusFnAround I will try to make one soon, but I have never used the included MixVibes software. Instead I use a copy of VirtualDJ 7.

  • @bennyherber how did u connect ur sound card so the sound comes out of the speakers n the headphones

  • @c4nd4c3tkd connect the USB soundcard, go into virtual DJ, choose headphones in the output setting, and select your built in sound card as one output and your usb soundcard as the other ;)

  • @bennyherber

I just got the discovery DJ. One of the most important parts of the whole DJ thing is CUEIng, None of the video's on Youtube even touch that aspect. So I noted that you bought and external USB sound card for Cueing, Could you give the name and Model number and how you set that up for cueing. i can be reach at farebrotha@yahoo.com.... Much appreciate any help on this !!!!!

  • @farebrotha first buy this ($2.14 with free worldwide shipping) dealextreme(dot)com/p/virtual-5-1-surround-usb-2-0-external-sound-card-22475. DO NOT INSTALL THE DRIVERS. just plug it straight in, it will register as USB AUDIO or something like that. go into virtual dj, settings, then choose headphone output. Your built in card can be for speakers and the card for cueing (or vice versa doesn't matter). then you should be all set. make sure you lower the cue volume ;)

  • @memphistigers777 i got mine from toys r us for 60$

  • hahahaa what is he doing!! Great vid :P

  • Actually if he's makin instrumental, it's not bad.. But he needs to add more

  • @AppleDeviceMaster

he can simply use the fuawking loop

  • what the point of fading from one deck to the other if you knew about this shit you would have just looped it.

  • @DJMisconstrue

    its beat juggling Bro

  • what the fuck are you doing dumbass

  • u keep doing that and it will stop working mine lasted 3 months then one wheel went bad

  • @loendz same

  • U suckk!! niggaa

  • Sure, it doesnt look like much but would be fun to party up with your friends and just fool around. I picked it up new for $70. can't go wrong with that price.

  • what are you doing

  • @crazyfighter89

    beat juggling

  • are people really talking shit when this guy is just showing us how it works? wow you guys are really cool.

  • @ThaShitTalka wow dude,,, how long did it take you to figure that out... now what I'd like to see is other people or you step up and show us what can be done on this unit. ... Were you like expecting Richard HumptyVision to be spinnin or somethin?

  • @JusFnAround he said sick. not suck. :3.

  • @NP0970 doe! my bad....

  • @JusFnAround

lol i thought i saw "u suck" the first time i read it.....

  • @JusFnAround lmao

  • @JusFnAround to bad when you wind it you cant see the time code

  • wooowh

  • does it work with windows media player???

  • What song is this??

  • @XxBiGBoi1290xX .... which songs... whats the time on the video, and I'll tell you.

  • @JusFnAround wow there is only one music in the video... 50 cent - wanksta by the way

  • lol u not playing any clubs with that piece of shit

  • @Gerard300349024 ummmmm..... lets see... $99.00 dj unit bought at Target... What do you think einstein....

  • @JusFnAround i think u just wasted 100 bucks on a piece of garbage

  • @JusFnAround exactly...obviously this grime has never heard of equipment for beginners.

  • @Gerard300349024 ... your right not playing any clubs, but I can afford to throw away the $99, and the 100, on the sound card and not have to worry about it. so I say for all of you that say this unit sucks.... Step up and show us your skills on something better...

    I hate whiners...

  • @JusFnAround u can buy a decent controller for 300-400 bucks and u wouldnt have to buy a sound card ...its comparing fubu with nike u pay more for way better quality and when it comes to djaying its quality over quantity even if u are a beginner get a numark controller u pay only like 200$ more but it will be way better than that toy

  • DO YOU KNOW HOW TO MAKE INDIVIAL TRACKS MINE COME OUT AS ONE TRACK WHEN I RECORD FROM THE DISCOVER DJ

  • Can you make your own beats on this ?

  • @rammstein2212 I dont think so, but then again, Im as new to this as all of you are.

  • does the program work with windows xp

  • @Shupsta3 yes. dont mean to be a tool here guys, but do some research... I'm new to this too. and it works with Vista & Win 7.

  • how much did you get it for

  • @naijagirl88 holy cr** really... google... Ion Discover DJ Price...

  • i just got that toy for my bday but how do you add the sound card so u can mix without everyone listening to what you re doing????!!!

  • @im2sexy4mykat I got the Audio 2 DJ sound card. its made by Native Instruments. Google it.

  • is it better than the hercules dj mixer

  • @thenikoland dont know never used it.

  • does the program bring sounds you can add like for example u know virtual dj u can add like a siren in the middle of the song of a "get ur hands up in the air" kinda thing or add effects like flanger or echo or is it just plain bass mid treble and thats it

  • @gugabool1 to tell you the truth. Once I started using the Virtual DJ software. I totally left the Mixvibes software alone. Virtual DJ is 10x better with regards to button response times, and Scratch sound quality. I have tried the sounds on virtual DJ, and I'm currently trying to figure out how to control the volume on the sounds brought in as they are WAY louder than the music Im playing.

  • @JusFnAround so this "toy" (which actually its pretty fucking cool) works with virtual dj aight. thats sweet. and yeah ur idea of making the sounds louder is pretty cool hope you figure out the way

  • @JusFnAround FYI TO ALL,

Im thinking of selling my ION Discover DJ, & the Audio2 DJ sound card. Anyone interested. I'm in Northern Ca. Sac Area.

  • @JusFnAround Oh, how much were you thinking of selling them for?

  • @NERDglasses probably 150 for all. Ion unit, & Audio 2 External sound card.

  • @gugabool1 the virtual DJ software does have effects and allows you to add effects. Im a newb so I dont totally know how to use those things but I have noticed that most of my "F1, F2, etc..." keys have automatic sound effects when using the Virtual DJ.

  • can this be use with virtual dj software

  • @petenicezz yep, and VDJ makes it 100 times better

  • I cant listen in my headphones? what a load of crap! =/

ANYWAY, i borrowed this from a friend and i dont have the original program, can i use it with Traktor?

  • @paindoll nope, but Virtual DJ supports it, and its better than Mixvibes in my opinion.

  • Can you record or play back your mix sessions?

  • @dmhone yep... RTFM

  • does anyone know if these work with virtual dj?

  • @TheDoce420 BIG FYI,,,,, I just want to let everyone know that this unit does work with Virtual DJ, and if you had any problems with the MixVibes LE software... the Virtual DJ software makes this units response time better by 200% easy. Maybe in the next couples of weeks. I'll show the difference in software...

    Willie D

  • @wd2 If you want try downloading the trial version of Virtual DJ Pro, that will give you 21 days to try it out, but realistically its out on the web you just have to look a bit. I bought it.

  • @TheDoce420 yep it does.

  • can you use this thing for gigs? o__O im a bit curious haha :p

  • @erwinio007 I dont realistically thing you can use this thing for gigs. But if you want to use this just for house parties or backyard barbacues, I think this thing is perfect. If you ever do a full gig with this, take a video, I'd love to see this thing rock a party

  • VAi tomar No Cuuuuuuuu essa porra é mo Zuadooo AFF

  • hey buddy how do you get it to record...can you get it to record in mp3 format...and today after having it for about six month but now its asking me for the passkey. i dont know where it at . do you think you can help me out with the pass key...thanks

  • @bidiboss sorry bro call support...

  • Is this good 4 begginer dj's?

    Nice vid!

  • Man Boob scratch in the very beginning lol!

  • Can u try please using it with Virtual dj to seee if it works wit it because i dont want to buy this for nothing!

  • Pretty clean jugglin' man!

  • can you use headphones with that because i have one console like that one but i dont know how to use my headphones.....can u please help me

  • CAN IT WORK WITH VIRTUAL DJ?

  • you need som practie bro hehe

  • dude have u figured out how to use headphones with this, meaning listening to a diff song on the head phones while someting else is playing on the speakers

  • @GTIzzle07 Yep, Watch my first video I mention the Audio 2 dj unit. You need to get a USB sound card that has 2 "Independent" audio outputs... like the Audio 2 Dj. The key is having "Independent" audio channels. Check out my 2nd walk through vid, it will show the software, and you'll see what I'm talking about in the sound output configuration.

  • So this DOES work with Windows 7? I'm thinking of copping this

  • @Deanboy2007 It does work in Win 7. Thats what Im using.

  • dont complain on this its good starter thing

i personally got CDJ 2000s and a djm 700 mixer

and soon i will buy a djm 2000 mixer

but even that i still will get one of theese because they are small cheap and funny to bring to friends house when having small parties

  • man I almost bought it because I tough the record plates also spins but it doesn't thanks man I almost trow away 100 euro's for this crap, just gonna by a real CDJ

  • Yep, downside is that the platters dont spin. But really what did you expect for 100 Euro. Personally I still like to play around on a real setup when I can so that IF I ever get good enough. The transition & my touch on some real platters wont be such a big deal. I still say this is a good "STARTER" kit for BEGINNERS.

  • @JusFnAround

yeah thats true, its a good start for beginners, but I still think that the cdj's will work better because of the overview you have about the pits of the beats and such.

  • @JusFnAround No, it's not. If anything it'll be discouraging people from buying it, because you can't do anything proper with a toy.

  • @JusFnAround I though that too, I thought they spun too. =/

  • Why would you get motorized platters for $99/Euro/Pounds? I want whatever your smoking or you don't know anything about DJ Equipment. The DJ Console RMX I have doesn't have touch sensitive platters and cost $200 more! Of course I have a built-in sound card and more control than you get with the Discovery, however as Pille said, its great for small house parties when you wanna mix live. A real CDJ cost at least $200 FOR ONE... Good luck homie...

  • i just got this, the controller is not working for me though

the buttons light up but they don't work with the MixVibes software...

  • I'd call tech support. I was told by them that it wouldnt work on Win 7, and I upgraded about 3 weeks ago, and have had no problems. Before that i did try it on Vista, & XP and again no problems.

  • i got it fixed few hours back

logitech webcams cause problems n all, so i got sent a fix

  • @FiswaT Ive heard you comment that same exact thing on another video do you have something against this system

  • @MrRandomvlogs I had that problem with the software, by posting it on multiple similar videos, I increased my chances of getting an answer and its fixed now

I was not hating on it

  • can you use Discover DJ with Scratch Live or Serato Itch?

  • To tell you the truth, I don't know. I did call tech support and they did say you can use use mix vibes cross but I haven't been able to find a friend that has it to test.

  • toool

  • can you control master tempo with the ion?

  • Not directly with the ION itself. Ill take a look at the software and see if their is a keyboard control for that.

  • @JusFnAround I appreciate that thank you very much

  • Ill put up a video that shows all of the keyboard controls, but give me a few days.

  • @JusFnAround dude relax no need to rush

  • why do you spin the wheels? What does it do t the songs?

  • he spins the wheel to sync up the song's beat. You can't hear him spin because he switches the audio from one track to the other

  • @AbDcOFFicialBLOGGER If you have the Scratch button OFF, it only lowers/raises the pitch of the song so you can match the beat to the 1st track. I can't do that yet... I was using it to try and get used to feel of real turntables, and bringing in songs by using turn tables. A recommendation by friends who are real DJ's.

  • just............

  • NOt

  • very good

  • @shadmanisthebest .... somehow I thinks thats what the "Newb". Hell I could have told you it sucked.
