  • Damn you can cook hotdogs on that fire, anyone?

  • this is awesome, two different videos of the same thing from different perspectives. this just blew my mind, AND THAT CAR BAHAHAHA.....i have no friends...

  • The sound of someone eating a bag of chips in the background from about 4:30 into the video kind of gives this video a different perspective.

  • theres also video b4 the fire n ems arrive look it up

  • non driving idiots

  • i just love how im watching this vid and i look at the ad above the related vids and its was an ask.com ad say What is the fastest car in the world....... 0.o

  • did the cars color burn off then did it catch onto the other car if it did rip who ever got caught

  • Damm, That Buggy is not giving up

  • Looking at all clips of this...us emergencyservice is the worst in the world...so slow and not the right behavior to the wonded lady...so low...US woooohaaa...NOT

  • @67Joakim You can't take one incident like this and lump ALL emergency services across America together. That's pretty ignorant. This is ONE incident. I've seen incidences in Germany (when I lived there for 10 years) take twice as long as this, and saw an accident here in America where EMS came in under 10 minutes. It all depends on the location. This part of the highway is far away from larger towns with hospitals and whatnot.

  • oh i posted to soon...lol there they are

  • im wondering where is the fire truck ??

  • @timmytowertim same here, in the other video of this the fire truck has not gone yet.

  • Stubborn lil fire, ain't it?

  • This is the view from the actual people involved /watch?v=mYBzGJM4l8U&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

  • the VW bug used to be blue.....now its silver....thats what fire does....

  • FDNY on I95? dont think so

  • Traffic in this area is very dense, often bumper to bumper, making help slow to arrive. It's interesting that there was a police cruiser involved in this one. I wonder what triggered this collision. I used to commute on I95 into New Rochelle every day back in the 90s and it was an awful commute. When an accident happens, it can be hours before traffic moves again. I can remember waiting 6+ hours on the bridge because a chemical truck fire at exit 2, back in Mar 97. Awful day that was.

  • that police car is totaled

  • what a dche totally just kicked a fairy off the roadD:

  • Anybody notice how different sirens sound... when they're coming to you?

  • @MrParamedics Well look at you having finally learned about Doppler theory.

Also, this is a nice perspective from the other videos by VasKakas.

  • im certaintly not geting a bug...

  • Finally the turn it off

  • @PetsANDGames98 what?

  • I saw three videos of this cars and they never turn of that fire

  • @PetsANDGames98 Turn off the fire?? It isn't a BBQ unit with an "off" knob. LOL!

  • These guys are Idiots. Probably vols. Wheres the SCBA's (airpacks).

  • Evidently those poor firefighters don't train with anything other than pretty much straight stream?. .. somebody should tell'em about widening that stream a little bit. .. .unbelievably much more effective.

  • Can somebody tell me why the Police cars here aren't marked. I never knew they had lightbars on police car while being unmarked. Our dept has all marked cars.

  • @cody111495 : Those are Connecticut State Police and the Cruiser is registered and insured to 1 State Trooper when he/she Graduates from the Academy. Thats one of the perks of being a Connecticut State Police. You get to take the Cruiser home and you can use it as your personal vehicle, and thats why they are unmarked so they can use the Cruiser as there personal vehicle.

  • @jeffbmwm6 Oh ok thank you. So none of the state patrol cars are marked, or only the ones that they take home are unmarked. Im assuming that they only really use them say if they are on call. And then they have duty vehicles when they report to work for their shift. I wish our Dept did that. We don't get any take home cars.

  • 6:22 Get the F*** out of the way

  • 7:43 Someones a blackberry owner!!

  • So your that big black bus?

  • What a stupburn fire!!

  • damn, glad that wasn't me there, took the fire dept. long enough to get there, must have been on there Doughnut rest............

  • @eagle1046 have ya ever thought that this may be a volunteer fire dept and that it is on the interstate and when the interstate gets shut down from backed up traffic it takes a lil longer for an engine company to respond..oh wait ur not a firefighter so you wouldnt know

  • @firefighter31256 daaa, ya know i'm not stupid like YOU think, it seems to me traffic was moving on both sides, oh, you must have head up your ass and missed that part for the first 5 min...... yea, i could figure that, but like i say. go watch again, 2 different ppl uploaded this, from 2 different directions, both the same, traffic was moving fine except for the ppl slowing to look.., go figure.......

  • Did You saw that cop car! damn!

  • I drive a Yellow NB 1.8t... I can tell you from experience that these Beetles are so misleading when it comes to how fast you're going...

  • Nice save by the off duty FF. But what's up with the responding FD?? Three lines and you can't put out a car fire? Don't you guys carry foam? What about SCBA and not blasting each other with opposing streams? 3 engines and a Quint? A bit of overkill I think. Not their best moment, but no harm done. Just could be more efficient.

  • damn! wasnt that volkswagen blue???

  • front row seats!!!!

  • Can you guys see tht evil face underneath the left side of bridge??? :/

  • in the words of usher "LET IT BURN" :)

  • I live in CT lol.

  • I don't understand this statement:

"Jim Long, director of public information for FDNY in Brooklyn, said the city is aware of Sottile's actions and plans to present him with some kind of citation."

Why would he get a citation for saving the woman's life!?!

  • i wanna know who hit who first

  • WOW fire dept. not even there yet ? CT idiots lol

  • @getalife67 don't call the fire department an idiot, you try driving a fire truck through heavy traffic and see how fast you can go

  • 1st if u search for "Accident on I 95 on December 12 2009" part1 and part2" u will see that firefighters never made it there in about 1 hour+, 2nd first car was only burning, for about 40+ mins or more, 3rd from a videos its oblivious that a COP car got hit first, So question is why? maybe he was slowly driving off from Emergency lane without watching traffic on a fast lane?... COP cur on ur right is heavily damaged in a rear and its a first car.

  • Wow, how many fire trucks does it take to put out a car fire? 4 trucks is just a little over kill isn't it?

  • @PZMedic The problem is that motor of this vehicle has many parts made of magnizum and the more water the bigger the flames.

  • @CTMotorcop good thing they arent using water

  • @CTMotorcop actually i think they are lol

  • Accident on I95 on December 12, 2009 (Part 2) skip to 5:03 u will c da bus

  • hey this is the bus that was seen in the backround of the real video

  • Why wasn't the fire going out????

  • fire dept is slow the first video i seen on this one car was on fire now both wow

  • @bglk102 Well someone from the fire dept. was actually the first person at the scene and the person who saved the woman's life. It just turns out that he was off duty and saw the whole thing.

  • that fire deptment sucks !!!! they took a long time to get there . then only one guy with a airpack on !! no foam ?!! what the F$#K ! then they had a overkill of fire trucks come near the end ! bad IC !

  • So, it was just 1 car on fire, but seems like the volunteer fire dept in Orange took a while to get there, so the other car then caught on fire. I mean, the medics and like 5 cops got there pretty quickly and they had the victims already out of the way by the time these guys got there. Damn shame if u ask me..

  • So, originally, it was just a buggie on fire. They took so long to put it out that the damned altima got caught too? Shame.

  • These guys kinda suck at putting out fires...

  • @golchinam there was noone in there

  • sad , dead people inside ...

  • wasn't there just another accident in the exact same spot b/w exits 41/42 northbound?

  • You know what I find really interesting? It's a pure coincidence that one of the people involved in this accident actually caught video of this crash, too. That's a rare occurrence, if you ask me.

  • @FowVayJetta i was just thinking that lol

  • watch?v=mYBzGJM4l8U&feature=related

yours bus on this video XD

  • And really firetruck at 6:30. Really?

  • What took the FD so long to get there???

  • @neek951 10 minutes is not really long on a highway for a volunteer FD to respond

  • Thomasson did it again!

  • Does anyone know what caused the accident ?

  • @dixiewife47 just read the description. The blue volkswagen beetle (the car on fire: you can see it in the video about I-95 crash on December 12, 2009, when only the dashboard was on fire) hit a police car which was at the scene of another accident.

  • @dixiewife47 The accident was caused by cranial rectal inversion, also known as driving with your head up your ass.

  • @CTMotorcop by far the funnyest coment on youtube kudos thumbs up

  • @apbound25ave Thank you... I have seen too many of these, and thank goodness the trooper and the others all recovered from this accident

  • at least one light on the cop car works

  • wtf put ur scba on fellas good vid

  • Mohegan Sun gas is expensive to burn, LOL!!!

  • @polishrnpunk a lot of fd in ct dont carry foam bc it cost so much and use it on big calls

  • I hope everyone was ok and got out ok. The car can be replaced.

  • you are in a Bus ?

  • Where's the foam, people?

  • @polishrnpunk I dont think they were in for a foamparty :P

  • i heard blackberry sound in 7:44 lol

  • gotta say well done, actually backing up the nossel man... lol

  • Someone on a city bus. They think it's just an episode of "Rescue Me."

  • Who's the bone head eating a bag of chips while all this goes on.?

  • @wrfire

Your right it should be popcorn :)

  • And at 6:23 you can see West Shore District's Quint 33 coming in from West Haven.

  • Comment removed

  • Wtf!! at 1:51 looks like some one is in the fire walking 0.o the right of it all

  • I saw a car fire on i 95 in peabody MA

  • Looks like that White Hat needs to learn to wear SCBA and let his FF's do the work.

  • you dumb ass where are your packs!!!! and then the 2nd due engine in a f**king hurry to a car fire the fire is 95% out. dumbass!!!!!

  • amazing video!!!!!!!!!

  • @4:03 F D N Y.

  • @johnindi Thats Sottile, the firefighter that was off duty and saved the woman in the burning vehicle.

  • look at those asshole on the other side rubbernecking. they deserve to die. peices of shit, they think it's okay to slow down traffic just do they could look and see what happened. It should be the death penalty for rubbernecking. Or at least life in prison. Or maybe a $250,000 fine. And if you can't pay that fine, you are a slave to the government forever...

  • @Maserati7200

if you seen that kind of volume of fire...im sure you would be slowing down to take a look at that wreck

  • @7089540230 No, I really wouldn't, because I know that will cause a whole traffic jam behind me, and it's not in my best interest to delay people's trips.

  • @Maserati7200 You sure are fucking stupid!

  • @BuzanTheFear1ess You sure are fucking inconsiderate! You'd slow down, causing the entire road to slow down, making a large traffic jam and delaying everyone's trips, just so you could see what happened in an accident. Who do you think you are? You and all people like you are a disgrace to our society.

  • @Maserati7200 Driving slower is safer! 8D You sir, are a bombastic twat.

  • If the speed limit says 65, and there is some accident on the side of the road thats being taken care of, there is no reason to drive slower than 55. I've seen instances where a cop pulled someone over and every douchebag decided they needed to slow down to 25 MPH to see what happened. Are you honestly saying that you would delay everyone's trips just so you could see what happened? You know what else is not safe, stopping to a crawl on a highway where eveyone is doing 65+, head on collision

  • @Maserati7200 25 miles an hour is safer than 65 and at that speed the likelihood of a major cock up similar to the one on the video -- that occurred at high speeds -- is much less likely.

  • how did the trooper get hit...

  • how did the altima get into the accident?

  • oh ya.......to let you guys know more info.....he said that he was coming back from the casino and he was driving in the car with my aunt joanne and he alredy had his stuff (like fire equitment) in his car, so he got out and saved the woman. And he was going to stop for an ice-cream like 5 minuts b4 he saw the car, but luckily he didnt lol.....he saved her just in time :)....the woman is fine now :)....GO UNCLE VINNY :)

  • OMG HERE IT IS! THIS IS MY UNCLE VINNY.....HE SAVED A WOMAN FROM BURNING CAR....OMG I HAVE TO SEND THIS TO HIM!!!!!!!! OM THIS IS SOOOO COOL PPL KNOW MY UNCLE LOL.......we went to a ranger game because they congratulated him :) omg this is so cool im gunna send this to him :)

  • I was wondering the car to the right that was hit from behind is that a PD car? I see a light in the back window flashing

  • @JoeOnTheRoad yes it is the story that i heard (i drove by) is that some ladies car caughht on fire it was old and he pulled over to help her and some retared flying by hit him and the car on fire at that time the fire was very low and thats why at the begging they were talking about a guy goin like 90...from what i heard every 1 came out ok the cop was not in the car when he hit it

  • @senad2134 Well I am glad everyone was ok. Also, appreciate the info.

  • @JoeOnTheRoad no problem

  • good cam and nice "car-b-cue" and typical CT police cars lights/bullbars but no "POLICE" lettering

  • ive notice that. ive never seen a CT Statie that was marked other then the lightbar and bullbars. any reason they do this? jw

  • There are some State Police cars with markings but the markings are very subtle.

  • Typical VW fire, your lucky to have enough water available to put them out. We see VW's burning all the time in california and Nevada...crapo cars...

  • whats the rush to get water on that fire? There is certainly no life or property to save. The lives are no longer in danger and the car is a total loss. As for wearing your mask. Do what you want, they're your lungs. I dont wear mine at car fires.

  • I see a whole lot of monday morning quarter back work going on here. Two different FD's working the same scene to get the job done...not to mention the magnesium fire that got going in the middle there. Not a bad job at all, other than the total lack of SCBA.

  • EVENTUALLY got water on the fire. Seemed to have plenty of people available on the hoselines. ONLY 1 person wearing a B/A? Anyway, the clarity of the video is excellent!

  • The firefighters did not exactly rush to get the wet stuff on the red stuff.

  • mmmmmm got to agree

  • That was one sloppy attack on that car fire!!! Vincent Sottile was in the right place at the right time, and the lady he saved has another chance on life!

  • Better stay tuned...or check the video. Vinny lays out a mean flare pattern.
