IWC lost my respect; only if this could make a sense for'em :D
what displease me here are; First, IWC is openly using the victims of World War 2 as a matter of some fucking commercial; like during the dire conflicts, the only thing in those pilots' mind was some fucking watch but their lives and families..
as the second fact, who the fuck is that pimp looking salesman takes heart from to sneer today's pilots?
and third; I would smash his face if he blow my new watch: :D
I've made my choice for IWC once. It was a big mistake. The watch broke within one month and EXTREMELY difficult to deal with IWC customer service. There are unprofessional people at IWC. Think twenty times.
F**king tacky advertisement. Pls let the mechanics and design of the watch speak for itself.....ppl who buy IWCs are not suckers for sleek advertising. Mini movies like this dont help us in making choices between IWCs and Breitlings or Tag Huer. Thank you
oh, thank you bell hop for tellin' me what a real pilot is suppose to be like! ok, i know that IWC makes a spitfire watch - but, note that IWC was contracted by the luftwaffe to design watches for them.
ok, so they are in a hotel, then in a watch store, then there is a busboy, it turns out hes john malkovich, then he doesnt let them buy a watch, then there is some story that is completely out of place and makes no sense, then they are outside and it turns out they are in boston and then john malkovich gives them the watch for free, then panties falll from the sky.
@Maxobillion that is far from the truth they make 900 dollars per flight, and many other extras, maybe 50 percent wear rolexes, mostly daytonas and the other half wears breitlings, they make a hell of a lot of money
@scotfreak That may be the case for many pilots but I was commenting on the new ones that fly for discount airlines. It's really sad that they make so little money these days. There are many documented cases of pilots getting paid very little and working way too many hours to be safe.
@Maxobillion ooo i see, yeah those little crap airlines pay close to nothing. new pilots always get paid less than others, but after the first year it goes to about 45k, then 75k, and then all the way up to and average of 250k a year, also depending on how many hours you fly
@scotfreak you realize that's just averaging flight times, and that doesn't include duty time and pilots are restricted to 1200 fight hours a year. Make all arguments you want, a regional airline pilot will not even break 25K in their first year.
IWC is Swiss you mo-mos....they have been around before the Germans did their thing..learn some history fool. They made watches for other's to buy like Britain and Germany...gheez..
And what's with the yanking around of the spade control column? In any aircraft particularly the spitfire the movements were tiny, small, precise corrections yank it around like that and you black out before spinning into the ground. And somebody tell them to get their bloody masks on!!!!
Wow...how disappointing. That was corny, overindulgent and a bit condescending to IWC buyers. Good to know IWC's how IWC thinks. I think I'll cool my IWC appreciation and turn to other brands like G.O.
IWC never made watches for british pilots, the only real IWC's made for the war were B-uhr's (Bomber Uhr) They were used by the bombaimer-navigator. (not the pilot)
Given recent events, there ARE a few "real" pilots still on the scene (thank goodness for Sully, among a few others), but they are few and far between, and inching toward retirement. We like to think this sort of individual isn't really needed anymore, and, in the main, maybe they aren't. But, once in a while something happens to remind you of the difference. This year, at least 140 more people understand that difference.
@radicaledward40 That's just silly thinking all these "pilots" and "divers" watches made by these luxury manufacturers are actually intended or used for those purposes. Why would a pilot or diver entrust his life to a less reliable and much more expensive piece of equipment when he can buy a Japanese quartz, digital, or combination that has 10x the functionality while never needing a battery just the same. People say replicas are for fake people, but the real ones are too.
what the hell did I just watch

I like how this hotel valet (Malkovich) is so arrogant. As if his job is better than an airline stewardess let alone a pilot.

lol. I heard modern commercial pilots make around $25,000 annually. As if they can justify spending that much on a watch.
