  • Neither APA nor ALPA are "unions'. Both were "shouted down" years ago by mgmt., judges,.....etc. The pilots all tucked their tails, made a hundred excuses to justify tucking their tails, and scurried away. Both of these "Associations" are weak, have absolutely no power, and will never have the courage to stick their necks out..... Pilots are followers, not leaders. Todays Association officers are weak, unintelligent wantabes....incapable of ever acheiving anything for its members. Truth hurts.

  • Make no mistake. Allied pilots association is NOT a union. It is a FORCED (all pilots must pay dues as a term of employment wAmerican) association. The clown 'leadership' far more resembles a bunch of 5 year old girls than any union.

  • @asernaa Please, please, please, learn to spell. AMR is an organization of douchebags, and no, those pricks are not the greatest pilots in the world. Whatevere you jackasses do, don't ever go with ALPA.

  • The pilots take a 50% pay cut so that the executives can take a 900% pay increase?! That is criminal. Strike is the only answer, otherwise those lying, immoral douchebags feel that they discovered a great way to make a living.

  • Great video! I won't be fooled again by this company.

  • I am going to go against the grain. I am going to encourage other airline pilots to support this video. Lets not look at company colors but look at work groups as a whole. AA's pilot group is the largest in the world if not mistaken and if we support them, they will support us. And if they make headway it leaves a hole for the rest of us in our fight to get back what belongs to us.

  • If you want to "take back" the airline, buy the shares, kick out the current BOD and management team and install your own. Simple, huh? Maybe you should get some "how to run an airline" lessons from the pilots who ran Kiwi. Pilots know it all, of course.

  • Once great airline? Only you arrogant AAssholes from the APA could make such a claim. You guys love nothing more than biting the hand that feeds you.

Your management is what has kept you in the air for this long and don't ever forget it ! You never point the leadership that Robert Crandall at AMR and were always bitching about this and that !

    Pathetic.

  • okay i support the pilots and other AA employees, but give me a break - you guys "work in the most remote corners of the world?" please - i understand the need to get the msg out, but at least try to not sound so whiny when you call yourselves professionals!

  • I agree with the don't be so whiny part....

  • Funny to see pilots whining about their situation. Most APA pilots have very short memories. Less than a decade ago, the union engaged in an illegal sickout and got whacked with a multimillion dollar fine that the airline management forgave. Had they not done that, there would be no APA today, period. The sickout also many AA employees a lot of money. You primadonnas can go whine elsewhere. We're not interested. Substitute "airline pilot" for "bus driver" and there's no difference.

  • You gotta wonder about comments like these. Frustrated pilot wannabe? Flying career not pan out for you? What's the story?

  • Never wanted to be a pilot. I am a flight attendant. I liked my job, but I am not one to take draconian pay cuts and fall in line. I have other things I can that are more stable/profitable. I still have my job at AA, but not much longer because I resigned. From my inside viewpoint, I thought the pilots to be inflated with an unearned sense of ego. I think they really only talk to each other, so perhaps they don't know what their co-workers are saying about them as a group? I am ashamed of them.

  • Your right on!!!! Good for you...Pilots all seem to think that we all wanted to be flyboys and couldn't make it. There divorce rate is the highest next to cops.

  • After 22 years on listening to divorce stories between AA pilots and f.a.'s, I have the say the pilots come up as a pretty repulsive group. I have actually seen one brag about who he a going to doing on the layover and the same breath argue about what a bitch his wife is in trying to collect child support. SICK SCUM.

  • EXACTLY!!!!!

  • @UAL320 ...you are a junior pig no doubt...

  • Bye Bye...Don't let the door hit you in your ignorant ass on the way out!

  • Oh, and enjoy your job at a dying airline. I'll think of you each time my pay goes up and yours down.

  • The management needs to be replaced period! Also some board members. Acting this way just say's, "We only care about ourselves!" They have no concious here. Possibly hooking up Herb and using some of his brillant ideas! That is management!!!

Also, the next picket should be in front of there homes! BOO to GREEDYARPEE!

This video was AWESOME! Good Luck to ALL of you! You deseve what is rightfully yours! Your MONEY!! Thanks for all you do and never back down.

  • Great video and despite the negative comments here, I bet if it came down to it EVERYONE would trust the pilots over management.

  • The sad thing is the pilots don't know anything about how the planes work. They only know how to operate the machine. They do not get involved with troubleshooting problems with the aircraft. They read the logbook and call Aircraft Maintenance or Tech Services with their problems. The Pilots believe they know everything about everything. Can you imagine working on commercial aircraft for 35 years with all the changes in technology and never make a mistake? The Technicians get treated like DIRT.

  • Oh, and I thought we only read the newspaper. Eat more fish dude...it nourishes the brain.

  • Your a glorified machine operator with an over inflated ego. You worry about things that you have no control over all the time. You have a high salary and a low IQ mixed with a control freak personality. I think that about covers it for ya.....

Who do you think is smarter? The people that design and build the planes or the guy that operates it?

  • Do you know that, in the many hours we have up there, we don't spend a single one thinking about engineers, baggage handlers, dispatchers...? Try to do the same buddy. Instead on focusing on pilot miseries take a look at yours. You might be impressed!!

  • Yes and that is because you are either sleeping with the autopilot engaged or trying to hook up with one of the F/As. You try to argue about things you know little or nothing about and your never team players. Don't forget that your blue collar workers just like the F/As and the rest of the workgroups. Not everyone wants to be a pilot. You think very highly of yourself most of the time. Thats what your busy thinking about up there. The last insult I have is this....Why are you guys so cheap?????

  • Hi Mike... Guess you didn't read my message... Still trying to change us. Have fun!!!

  • Thank you AA pilots for keeping us safe! Go after every cent that was stolen from you. Dont cave in. Every single one of those CEO's, CFO's etc should be sitting in a jail cell right now.

  • Brilliant video! Loved it!

TWA was on the very lucky end of a huge management debacle. Where would TWA be now that decision wasn't made? SUPPORTING your union is the ONLY chance you have to improve your situation. No pity needed from the prior post, we are strong enough without non union supporters!

  • OOPS! IF that decision wasn't made?

  • Where would TWA be without AA - still flying. it was a scam.

Embracing our TWA pilots and our TWA employees - we know how to fight - we could have taken the AA unions to a far higher level than what you have now. Believe me - been there done that. And we know how to run an airline, win awards and do it all without mega CEO's.

  • What I find ironic, APA certainly didn't mind forcing the TWA pilots to take career cuts - now that the shoe is on the management foot - see how it hurts. Embracing the TWA employees would have made AA employees a real strong fighting machine. Now you work as a union divided. Pity.

  • great great great

Hold on APA , we are with you

  • 3:51 - 3:56... Handsome Man!!!

Thank You American Airlines for providing my family, friends and myself an enjoyable, relaxing and SAFE trip wherever & when ever we traveled.

God Bless ALL the "Professionals" it takes to keep AA Safe.
