Wow that mother and father horse sure are busy breeding. Four ponies already and they look like they are ready for a lot more to come.

Sure will look strange when cell phones are common place and she has an old style phone on her butt. The problem with this show is they act like humans not horses. The 80's show at least they acted horse like.

.........Although the bad things about the show I have to point out as well. The characters are way overly humanized to be Ponies. Like at 6:56, how in the nipple twisting fuck is she writing with one hoof, nonetheless goddamn holding the pencil. What is this madness?

Now this is the only episode i've seen so I can't really say much. But like I said, it definitely passed my expectancy. Some well-rounded effort was clearly put into this. Their work has my respect.

Now I have to say I was expecting something much worse. But to tell you the truth I'm actually kind of Impressed with the animation and character design. The colors aren't over-bearing to a point where you want to fucking puke rainbows, and the character layout is decent at best. Also if i'm correct, the animation is actually quite good for the Early 90's, even on this old bad quality rip off of a VHS tape it's quite appearent of how good it's done........

As someone who has watched through the most of the MLP series (sans G 3.5), I can say that FiM while incredible, isn't infallible from the rest.

G1 when viewed in it's own period (1980's), is an original show and gold.

G2 has it's moments. Really mundane though.

G3/G3.5 are abominations that should be burned with friendship.

G4 is different, crisp writing and differing animation.

It all really comes down to a matter of taste and what you grew up with.

Personally I think G1 and G4 are MLP in their prime with just differing taste.

I like G4 for the characters,writing and humor, but it doesn't have any of the quirky villians are grimdark cynical plots G1 had.

So people stop comparing them, it's just not completely doable.

I bet if/when Hasbro makes MLP G5, debates will roar over the fandom, and it will always be the newfags(G5) vs the oldfags (G4), each prefering what they started out with.

Why are Misty, Amber, Twink and the baby almost white? Easy. At 9:03, you can see a picture of (probably) one of Bon-Bon's grandparents. Yes, I know it's a simple cartoon, but attention to that kind of detail is commendable.

I was forced to watch this series in my teens while sitting my niece. And I must comment I was amazed at the quality of the writing, the dialogue, voice acting and the plots. It's not easy to make a story about issues people face every day, and make it work. And without being preachy!

How many of us haven't found our lives upside down due to an ill relative? Or feeling neglected by those we love?
