All cable outlets monitor who is whatching what when and the networks have the Neilson monitors, little black boxes that are attached to volunteers homes T.V.s to monitor what they are watching at any given time. The Obama admin has tasked its Justice Dept with the responsibility of investigating Bush era records and THEN prosecuting those they think can be convicted. An investigation of the size and scope needed will take some time. However, the fact is, Obama's Justice Dept. HAS already initiated a process with a special prosecutor over the torture memos, and I have no doubt more is in the pipeline.

I'm not aware of any O'Reilly boycott, unless you're talking about the one where HE claimed he'd convinced Americans to stop buying French goods as retaliation for the French not following us into Iraq. Then he pulled the "Paris Business Review" out of his ass as proof that his boycott had cost their economy "billions," when French-American trade had actually increased.

You may not know this, but after a group followed up on the companies that "left" glenn beck, they found out that many of them never even advertised on his show in the first case. Almost all the other that pulled off of glenns show just moved their adds to other timeslots on FNC. No loss in revenue.

Karl's attitude and almost sheer desperation shows that the Whitehouse is doing the right thing by cutting these assholes off.
Its not like everyone doesnt already know that the Fox hates Obama to the point where they will call him racist and even Hitler.

It's called "Wingnut Welfare." It's an agreement whereby anybody who does their duty to the corporate welfare machine while IN power will never starve while out of power. They'll be given a job at the American Enterprise Institute, Heritage Foundation, or Fox News. If you have a shred of dignity, like Wolfowitz, Abrams, Liz Cheney, etc. you get in at AEI or HF. If you're an embarrassment or a criminal (ie- Karl Rove or Oliver North) you're stuck with Fox. (Except for Gonzo who's just SOL)

Fox news is so "objective" it accused Obama of being a Manchurian candidate for Middle Eastern terrorists, insisted that Obama is a Muslim (although there would be nothing wrong with it if he were); has megaphoned the cause of the discredited "birther" movement; has megaphoned the notion of "death panels" in Obama's health care reform; referred to Michelle Obama as Barack Obama's "baby mama" --- Fox is a cesspool of ignorance and disinformation.
