  • is that Shaun of The Dead's friend takng bribes from Mouisseur Ratchet?

  • Thank you so much for posting these!

    Love your imaginative titles :D

Hope you'll post any new ones that come up. David Suchet as Poirot is AWESOME ... and so are you, for uploading these for us! :)

  • So far this is a very dark and scary Poirot! Somebody hold me! tell me nice things!

  • Of course Poirots eggs must be EXACTLY the same size or else he can't eat them.

  • There is a common mistake with English movies, that use dialogues in foreign and less known European languages. When the countess and the count Andrényi are arguing about staying on the train he is trying to convince her to get down, while she wants to stay. "Maradni akarok"="I want to stay". And he replies with "Dragma", a word that does not exist in Hungarian, as far as I know, and it is incorrect for "Drágám"="My darling".

  • @SherlockDeWinter She speaks Hungarian with difficulties, but the count is supposed to be a native. Why can't they find a Hungarian actor to dub these few lines? Sorry for nitpicking, but it is not the first time filmmakers do this mistake. It is a pity...

  • @SherlockDeWinter these comments are supposed to be the other way around

  • Splendid this "Suchet's version" !!! Thanks and thanks again.

  • It's not the darkness I mind, nor the morose tone. But the overwrought editing style, trying to infuse ever shot and every 30 seconds with ominous meaning, grand 'artisticness', and flavor. It never lets up, it never lets the story breathe, and as a result all those flavors are too dense and never get to unfold a fine bouquet. It would do these kinds of films (i.e. the other modern Agatha Christie [TV]films) a world of good if they adopted a few DOGMA principles... it would make them artless!

  • Ravenhaven14 - I Love Hercule Poirot, that's why I love you!!!

  • This version loses a lot in its translation of the novel. Seems to really stretch in places, and what's with the thrown in out of nowhere convulsions and sexual predator?

  • David Suchet's performance as Poirot here, transplanted into the 1975 version of the movie would be the most perfect interpretation of this book.

  • @djwongdj yes...that Poirot was just...too loud

  • I wonder why someone clicked the 'dislike' button? I love this movie!

  • i was introduced to poirot with this episode and i've been hooked ever since! thanks so much for posting! :)

  • I really pity Poirot here. He looks tired, obviously because of his age, but also because of the case he had solved and will solve in England. Therein lies the answer of his morose look. Who won't feel tired sandwiched between two major cases, and then voila! a murder when he tries to wind down...

  • I think Poirot is very lonely, he looks sad and depressed.

  • @worldwideblowout he needs hasteings, japp and miss lemon

  • thanks for posting.I wonder if Suchet will make the Curtain episode

  • I miss Ingrid Bergman... ; )

  • This is filmed on the Nene Valley in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The Engine used was City of Peterborough (which is being repaired at the moment)

God Bless MOTOE - its one of the best Poirot Books ever written. David Suchet is excellent as the famous detective. May he do them all!!!

  • The train director's french accent leaves a lot to be desired. The T's and D's are pronounced in the english rather than the french ways.

  • Oh he is trying to return what he...took. So cool.

  • "ravenhaven14" is actually a Fox in disguise! "Choo Choo" indeed! Haha I love it!.

P.S This is true to the Agatha Cristie Poirot because as he grows older he is supposed to grow more morose and Dark. Not light and Happy! This Poirot prepares us, for the inevitable "CURTAINS". The ONLY Episode I NEVER want to See!!! And neither does any Poirot Fan!

  • @robertquentincobb sorry to stick a pin in your balloon, Robert, but I DO want to see Curtain, and I have been a Poirot fan since long before you took your first breath. The story is amazing, and I can't wait to see how David Suchet and Hugh Frasier do with this one. And the title is CURTAIN, not CURTAINS!

  • this is a fucked up train it seem everyone has some issues

  • Way too dark. The movie version with Finney was a delight to watch, great cast, great soundtrack, great scenery, great everything, Suchet, should have been in the movie version. I'll only watch this to the end for future reference.

  • @12rosebud12 Finney and his silly mustache was what you liked? OK. That was a comedy. This isn't.

  • @lollipopfop He said suchet should have been in the finey version at the end of his comment.

  • this one has had much money thrown at it. it is darker.......almost a new direction. with atkins and suchet in the cast, can it fail?

  • @johneunson Thsi isn't anywhere near as dark as "Five Little Pigs" or "Taken At the Flood". They are often very dark.

  • @lollipopfop are they on here?

  • @johneunson Pretty sure they are. But who knows with the youtube gestapo and the name rearranging its hard to say.

  • And yet these episodes are not without humor:'thank thee for creating me and making me a catholic' ??? :)))

  • @MrsExactly

Where's the humour ? People in those days still believed in things.

  • I think it is quite realistic after a life of seeing so many evil. I too miss his quirkiness and sparkle but I do appreciate the depth and introspection Suchet portraits here. I also like the beauty of the last season - delicate captures, great casting ( see also 'Halloween')! I'll use those previous episodes to put myself in the 'Art Nouveau' mood and these last episodes for those evenings of seriousness :)

  • Du liebe Zeit, Züge als Computer-Animation. Agatha Christie auf Sparflamme ...

  • You can really see the tone change between season's 8 and 9. He seems to lose his optimism about human kind, having seen all the evil's that we are capable. His little foibles are still intact, but the sparkle of hopefulness is gone.

  • I'm liking it but Poriot seems quite depressed. I miss his chirpiness =)

  • @suzyplanet

But thats what Agatha made her in the later books, Poirot got darker.

  • @mustsilm Oh right. Still it is a shame she wrote it that way.

  • does anyone know who the music is by?
