Clue #1: If you don't know the standard six speed shift pattern, you probably shouldn't try to run 'nitrous' and film yourself.

Clue #2: The next gear will engage at a lower RPM than the gear you just left. Leaving your foot on the gas like a retard just increases the amount of engine inertia the clutch has to eliminate via friction, not to mention the extra shock sent through the power train.

@rperezsrt its because you have to stay above 5600 rpms when you shift to stay in vtec. And it helps with economy when driving normal because it keeps the rpms low. These arent race cars. If you drive them how they are from the factory, they are very nice and fun cars that add excitement to a daily driver. When you start heavily modding them you look like a retard. They werent built for N2O or forced induction.

@4x108Dtec NOS and Nitrous are interchangeable names given to the chemical compound Nitrogen and Oxygen. Either way its pretty stupid to use it in a car. Shows every one else you dont have a good car thats fast. It does corrode your engine form the inside out.

i had an 07 si i just couldnt fucking deal with their transmission issues, i loved the car to death but i was doing a clutch and tranny rebuild every 6 months,,,, traded that thing in grinding 3rd and 4th with broken clutch for my mazdaspeed3 lol which i cant say is any better cuz now the speed pops out of second on downshifts lol i can never win with transmissions

lol if this car is nitrous they are running a 50 shot tops which thats even a stretch... nitrous is unbelievable, my buddy had a bone stock internal k20z1 hatch with a 150 nozzle drilled out we were guessing prob a 200+ shot easy and the car was making more torque than hp lol.... throw a 150 on that bitch, u could spray all day long for a good period of time before major issues... those k20z3's are very strong motors dont be scared... my buddys hatch was making 400tq on the bottle

How do you not know when the nitrous kicked in?... I gonna go ahead and guess you dont have nitrous. SI's will do the 60 sprint in about 7 seconds.. with 50 tq and 50 hp more it should easily be around 5.5 to 6 seconds..

I have learned a lot since then, including to take that N2O off since I couldn't help myself from running bottle pressure above 1200 lol. It hit hard when I did that but not for long lol...

i have the same car, you do not have nitrous, you need to learn how to shift, i would recamend before you try fucking around with turbos or superchargers, to try a cold air, exah, and a few other small mods

@xXJDiaz914Xx Lol u were right. But it was the slave cylinder not allowing enough clutch displacment for a proper shift. What kind of chip are you talking about? The only programing systems for 09 Si's are Cobb and Flashpro which are both programing style systems.
