I haven't played Skyrim much at all yet and am wondering about the game balance. I'm eager to try and install a mod as impressive looking as this but I don't want the game to lose any resemblance of intended difficulty. Do all these spells make things too easy?

@1LTD1 I've tried the mod, and I can say they are more spectacular than powerful, so that the game's balance isn't disturbed. Anyway, I thoroughly recommend you to play the game without mods at first, so that you can enjoy its vanilla experience :)

@jake641991 While I appreciate you enjoying my mod I do not agree with you. Midas Magic is the best magic mod for Skyrim. Xilver not only adds spells but new animations and various scripts and model sets. I do not even know how to do some of those things yet, I am still learning. Quantity does not always beat quantity and Midas has by far the highest quality magic mod. All magic mods are in some way influenced by Xilver and his work in Oblivion. You are overrating my mod :)

Regarding the previous spells, perhaps. But this time I'm committing to keeping it more lore friendly. I do plan to have a "Fire Daemon" though per Arena.

@CommanderGene The current blurb says they haven't been balanced yet and with good reason; the spells in the Elder Scrolls are fairly tame. These are not. They will be overpowered even with balancing so don't expect a meteor shower or kamehameha-like beam to be anything else but over-powered.

Tbh I just tried out the magic evolved and it's kind of boring for me. Very few spells there are innovative. I hoped for some ice wall/barrier spell that'd affect the gameplay nicely but all I got was some icy hedgehog on the ground. Gonna try the Midas one this time. Wish there was some directional/360' bubble barrier spell that would prevent objects(arrows/spells) and npcs from entering it in some mod. The existing ones so far are just "LETS APPLY THE VANILLA STUFF x5"

In fact - if there's no spell like that around, you,xilv, could work on it. If it's possible ofc. I think it'd be awesome to, you know, set an arcane barrier when the silly dragon breathes fire at you. Surround yourself with a 360' arcane barrier using the last bits of your magicka to ensure that you'll have a moment to prepare for continuation of the battle or plan an escape route. Would add immersion to the mage gameplay which is kind of lacking at the moment. Just a suggestion. :D
